Natural Balance Original Ultra Dry Cat Food, Chicken Meal & Salmon Meal Recipe, 15 lbs.

Our cat has No problem with digestion and eats this very well, It is hard to find a good quality dry cat food with both chicken AND Salmon in the ingredients. This fits the bill, the size is perfect, and she likes it.

Am. Switching my cars over because there's been some vomiting even on a high quality food. They first turned up their noses but after tasting. Is fine. My oldest cat is devouring this. My 2 youngest seems to have more energy and are playing again,!!!! Really I read so many reviews I was impressed so had to try. This is a high quality food. Grain free.

I just finished writing a review for the canned cat food in the same brand, so some of my review will be repeated, as far as results, etc. My kitty absolutely LOVES this food, and she is pretty finicky. I started her on Hill's Science Diet canned food,but honestly, I think she'd rather starve than eat that! I had to give that away rather than just continuing to throw away the un-eaten portion (90% of it) , She also got Nutro All-Natural dry food and liked that okay but definitely likes this better. She is just over 5 months old, so she gets this food in unlimited amount (as much as she wants, always available) along with about 1/3 of a 6-oz can twice daily of Natural Balance canned food Natural Balance Canned Cat Food, Ultra Formula, 24 x 6 Ounce Pack Since switching from previous food (Hills Science DIet canned kitten food and Nutro Natural dry kitten food) her coat has gotten shinnier/glossier - just silky and so plush, she is lean and PURE muscle (heavier than she looks and SO strong!), very, very active, and vet said she looks amazing! (she is a rescue kitten, having been left at our local pound at about 2 weeks old, without her mother.... GRRrr!! She came very close to being euthanized... Thank goodness for our local cat-rescue shelter!) She had to be bottle-fed for several weeks - one of her litter-mates didn't survive). Now she looks (and obviously feels) GLORIOUS, and I am SO happy to have found this food that she adores, and that is high-quality and GREAT for her, without being terribly overpriced! HIGHLY recommended! It is a bit more expensive than some other foods, but looking at her level of health, high activity level, and beautiful coat, I think it is worth it. I was hesitant to try this food, since it doesn't specifically say "formulated for kittens" (it does say it meets the nutritional needs of cats at all ages/life-stages) but it is definitely helping her grow strong and healthy. And I LOVE LOVE LOVE having it delivered free in 2 days! (Prime) UPDATE: Our kitten is about 6 months old now, and though I've had cats all my life, I have NEVER had a cat as STRONG and muscular as this one, and I believe much of that is due to this food being so superior to previous foods I have fed other cats. Tinkerbell is incredibly active and healthy!

I've bene a vet tech for 13 years, a cat owner for 22 years. This is BY far the BEST food I have ever found. I foster kittens, and they always digest this food so easily, I haven't had to deal with loose stool since switching. I own 9 cats, yes NINE cats and this food ends up costing just as much as purina cat chow, as they need to eat far less of this food, to get the nutrition they require. All my cats like it AND it is formulated for kittens to adults so there isn't a need to switch at certain ages. This food has helped EVERY SINGLE CAT WITH LOOSE STOOL ISSUES I have recommended it to. This review is not a paid review or anything, I just truly LOVE this product and feel like it has actually helped to save kittens becuase it helps with irregular stool issues and they love the taste (you can have a million dollar food but if they won't eat it it's worthless) I also have two blind cats and they sniff it out from all over the house (I saw that as a question on here for blind cats) would recommend this to anyone and everyone, they also have a reduced calorie diet for our bigger kitties which being overweight can cause MANY MANY MANY issues!!!

Yes!!! I finally found a quality food that all 3 of my cats love! I have tried several others(halo,paul newman,taste of the wild,core,and others)and this is the first one I can tell that they really go wild over.Plus the price is not as high as some of the high quality foods.If they continue to love it this much and get along well with it I will definatley continue to buy this brand.Would have done 5 stars but it is pricey for normal people and kind of inconvenient to always be buying at a pet store or online but I do like it well.

I love Natural Balance. It's my preferred food of choice, for cats. I have several cats, and the oldest one had his fifth birthday a few months ago. He has been fed Natural Balance since he was a kitten. Following suit, any cats that I have fostered, or adopted, subsequent his adoption as a two-and- a-half month old kitten, have been fed Natural Balance. Although I do feed pregnant cats, and kittens four months of age and under, a different brand of cat food, I generally switch them to Natural Balance Original Ultra once the kittens are completely weened and/or the Queens are no longer nursing. There are several different blends of Natural Balance cat food, catering towards a cat's dietary needs as well as preferences for taste and texture. My cats like the Original Ultra. I like it too because, though it is adult cat food, it is "Kittens To Adults" so, it is suitable for kittens as well. This is helpful when I am fostering, since all of the cats must eat the same food. However, Natural Balance does make a kitten-specific food. I started my cat on that, and then switched him over to the Original Ultra when he turned a year old. Natural Balance also makes a wet food that is complimentary to the dried. My cats like that too. I would definitely recommend Natural Balance Original Ultra cat food. It is an excellent brand of food that covers all areas of a cat's health and is very gentle on their digestive systems. It's not made of junk and fillers, like most cat foods on the market. I have several cats, and am on a budget. I go through about four 15lbs bags a month. I get several bags through Amazon Subscribe and Save, and usually order the others that I need either from Amazon, Chewy, or I purchase them from the local pet store.

UPDATE 12/2011: This is a ridiculous price for this product. The review below was written when this item was but $12 and some odd change. Now it's $23?! Go elsewhere - you can find it much cheaper. ------------ ORIGINAL REVIEW: I love this food. I knew the Purina One dry food I was feeding my one cat wasn't the best. After researching several different reputable websites for dry food reviews, I decided to purchase Natural Balance. Several different sites had included Natural Balance among the best dry food (especially for the money). I have been very, very happy! My cat switched foods effortlessly. I didn't even gradually introduce it like I should have - one day she was eating Purina One, the next Natural Balance. The one major thing I've noticed after weeks on this food? Her coat is SO much SOFTER/SHINIER! She's so silky and soft now! Holy cow! I know if it's doing such good things for her fur it's a good sign. Her bowel movements have always been nice and solid, and they look even better on this food. I also have to feed her less each day, which makes the 6 lb. bag last longer than 6 lbs. of the Purina One would have. All in all I'm a convert, and I will keep buying this food. I’ve noticed the following in my cat since we switched to this food several months ago: - he is way more active. He never used to be a playful cat but suddenly he’s playing almost every day. I have to assume this is from the ingredients giving him better nutrients. - his coat is much softer. - his poops are less stinky - he actually enjoys eating more. When I first opened this bag of food he was begging for it like it was a treat! He definitely likes eating this more than any other brand we’ve tried. The biggest thing for me was his energy levels. My cat is 11 so I didn’t think much of him sleeping more and playing less until I switched him to this food and saw the change. It’s been so nice to see him so rejuvenated and living a better life. We will probably stick with this cat food for the rest of his life!
