(Almost) Perfect!
I wanted to properly test out the speed cable before putting a review in, which i've been doing over the past month on an - almost - daily basis. So, starting at the top....- the rope/cable arrives in a useful bag which means I keep it in my rucksack and can use it anywhere. My old rope used to get a bit tangled up with all of the other rubbish in there...so this is a definite plus. The rope itself is very sleek and looks high tech...and worth the (reasonably in my view...) money spent on it.- Initial adjustment of the cable is very easy - and being relatively tall I didn't have to snip the cable at all - so this was a real plus. I am sure it would be very easy otherwise.- My first use was outside on smooth pavement. I have been skipping for a while, so with my older plastic rope I was able to do crossovers, start off with the rope swinging at my side and then "jump" in, but it was a heavy rope so was unable to do double jumps, and over a long period it used to stretch and wear out, so had about 10 minutes of good use before. Using the MoM cable was a breeze...it's very quick, and the easy turn handles mean that you can really get a pace going. I was easily able to beat my old "fail" rate, and improve my speed, and am gradually improving my double unders. The downside was that on the first use the plastic coating on the cable (being quite brittle) started to flake off, exposing the cable. It doesn't effect performance, but I was disappointed that it started wearing this quickly.- I sent an email about this fraying to MoM's customer service and had a reply from one of the co-founders Dre within 12 hours, which was very impressive. He had a new rope sent out within a day, and it arrived a day later with me, and has been in touch a couple of times since making sure everything is okay, so the customer service has been fantastic.- A month on, and I use both ropes now - the new one for inside and the old one for outside (which lets off some quite impressive sparks on the tarmac!). My speed has improved, my alternate hoping has improved, as have double unders. Also, the programs that MoM send in an ebook are very helpful in improving fitness, so all in all i'm very happy! So - in short: On the plus side the rope is quick, easy to use, and well made (apart from the coating). The customer service is fantastic, and the exercise programs provided are very helpful, and very versatile. On the downside (and the reason for 4 stars rather than 5) the cable type material is restrictive and it does tangle. Also, I think the coating should be something a bit softer and more pliable (and hard wearing) - if they can improve on this then I can see no reason to ever buy another skipping rope!

Vediamo il Master of Muscle com'è fatto.

Great rope - and great free exercise ebook
I've never skipped before in my life and yet within fifteen minutes of receiving this rope and in my mid 40s I was doing 75 jumps per minute - so I guess it must be a good rope! This was even before I read the excellent free ebook that comes, via email, after you've ordered the rope.Along with a general weight loss programme this rope really has helped me to regain and keep a decent level of fitness. It's great because I can exercise in a restricted outside space without needing to run/jog and I can select exercises that match my mood/energy levels. Having a young child it also means that I can steal a few minutes here and there without a) having to leave the house and b) without having to buy expensive exercise equipment. The ebook that comes with the rope - I received mine by email after I ordered - is more impressive than I originally realised. It features a wide range of exercise recipes that don't just use the rope but provide a selection of full body cardio and resistance workouts. The cardio workouts are in the high intensity training style. The book is high quality stuff and would be worth buying by itself (although probably best not to let the manufacturer know that!) It's 42 pages long and hasn't just been thrown together as an after-thought but is clearly a well designed piece of work. None of the exercises require professional gym equipment - basic dumbells and a stability ball. I'm impressed by the fact that the manufacturer hasn't just limited the book to consideration of skipping techniques but has developed a range of exercises for total body conditioning. It's also good to see that the exercises can be adapted to your own fitness level whilst still doing what they are supposed to do!The rope itself is the first rope I've used and hopefully the last rope I'll use so I don't have much to compare it to. It is very tricky to cut the rope to size because of the reinforced metal twine that forms the rope (covered by a plastic sleeve). I briefly tried to cut the rope, concluded that I would need to use more effort and skill than I bargained for and have been happy using the rope with 8 or 9 inches of loose rope which isn't a problem for actual use.The rope comes with a nicely designed draw string black carry bag and two "spare" locking mechanisms and an Allen key although I was given one spare Allen screw.I've had one mishap with the rope whereby I trod on the rope whilst skipping - the metal screw/nut mechanism flew off and although I managed to find it, it could easily have been lost. Despite stepping on the rope since then, this hasn't happened so it could have been bad luck or my failure to tighten the nut adequately. The rope is very light to hold. I know that there are different choices of rope in terms of weight but I've found that this rope suites me and the style I've developed very well. After a couple of months or so of use I can now do 96 jumps per minute.I would certainly buy the rope again and my regret is that I didn't start experiencing the fitness gains of skipping sooner.

Excellent rope - but be careful! (3 years and still being used!)
After skipping rope with my Buddy Lee Rope Master for a couple years, my faithful rope finally broke and it was time for a replacement. Normally, with such a wonderful experience with a rope I would establish a sort of brand loyalty with the brand. But the price of the Buddy Lee rope's are hefty. After much research I came accross this rope. This is my first cable / wire rope, and it took some getting used to. Here are some Pro's and Con's of what I noticed after skipping with this rope for a couple of weeks:Pro's:Portable - I can litteraly just coil this up and put it in my pockets while navigating the gym.Fast - You can go pretty fast with less effort in the wrists/arms with this rope.Quality - This rope was designed with some quality parts. The handles feel sturdy, the bearings and wire itself feel solid.Con's:Locking mechanism - I've had a couple occasions where the finger screw type locking mechanism used for the rope actually disengaged mid-revolution and was sent flying across the gym. The wire actually came loose and acted similar to a whip as it wildly spun around me. The only solution to this, minus attempting to tie the wire into a knot, is to keep in mind to re-tighten the screw everytime you skip. Which is somewhat inconvenient.Carrying bag - It looks tacky. Imagine walking around the gym that says "MASTER OF MUSCLE" on it. I understand that this is the brand name and the aesthetics are subjective as some people might actually be a "Master of Muscle" (or believe they are), but I for one am not a "Master of Muscle". Perhaps get rid of the oversized logo?Overall, I enjoy skipping with the rope. The con's listed are something you can work around, but I would prefer that it wasn't there at all. I didn't purchase this rope for the training program, so the training program is (as it was designed to be) an additional plus to purchasing this rope, I bought this rope for the rope. This is a quality rope for a cheap price.EDIT: I'm glad they took my feedback into consideration! The carry pouch design has been reworked. I purchased this rope back in 2014 and STILL use it to this day. The updated aesthetic may cause me to buy another one :)
