The measuring marks are in cups and mL. The cup lines are full cup, no quarter, half etc. And mL is by 100 mL.

it is plastic.. and it works great. I had mine now for over 2 years, i use it from pancakes to cupcakes , funnel cakes you name it. Wash up is a snap. It has never leaked on me.
