We bought one of these a year ago and it is seriously our most used garden tool. It is also very nicely made and because of this we decided to gift it as a wedding present to some friends that just bought their first home. I am not a fan of the drawstring bag and the gloves, they just feel like unnecessary plastic. A burlap bag with a card paper tag would be much nicer and more giftable, that would also keep me coming back as a frequent gift giver.

This is the best tool for gardening.

I've been using a homi in my garden and flower beds for years. I usually get them a Korean grocery store, but I wanted to give one as a gift. Naturally, I looked for one that had a better presentation. Originally, I ordered a different one off Amazon, but was not as described and I had to return it and look for a different homi. This particular one is great! It's not stamped with "made in China" and it has a nice sleeve. However, if you are used to the "standard" size homi, this is not it. It is quite a bit smaller, and I see it being very useful for more delicate work around flowers and such. The petite size still has a robust handle. Personally, I would go with the larger (medium) one, but I believe was described correctly and will work. Make sure you check out the dimensions and you won't be disappointed!

A couple of weeks ago, I tried to dig the ground with a shovel for like an hour. I didn’t make any progress, except creating a line of dead grass. Today I spent less than 20 minutes digging and planting seeds with this Korean tool, homi. It is brilliant! It pulls and cuts grass and loosens hard soil with ease. No wrist pain. Get a Korean lightweight farming stool. You are set!

This was a gift, I was meh, until I tried it! This has become my number one "go to" tool in the garden! There is a learning curve to use it and now I can't stop. I love how its shape makes it easy to hold, no sharp edges so I can scrape cleanly the inside of my grow bags. Super strong to dig into those root clusters and break them apart! Solid SOLID tool because the forged steel goes straight through the handle it allows me to push deep holes into the soil, have also used it to push fabric staples down! Just LOVE it!

The shape of the spade is more curved inward that it looks. You have to angle it to get the function you want, not really good for edging because of the hook shape. But you can get other uses for it once you get used to angling it.

I bought mine recently and so far I am very pleased. I've used the side of the larger one to clear away mulch and I've used both to big holes.
