THE POWER OF SIMPLICITY. Clean, modern style and a versatile, supportive form make the Treble II a popular choice for everything from spin classes to centuries. The upper is made of supple synthetic fiber and adjusts quickly and precisely with three wide straps, while an Aegis(R) EVA footbed keeps you comfortable on longer rides. The stiff, injected nylon outsole is outfitted with our new Universal Cleat Mount system that accommodates both three-bolt and two-bolt cleat/pedal systems.

A great shoe for indoor use
I have been a spinner/cyclist for many years. This is the first time I am using a laced shoe in my spin classes. The shoes fit closely to typical American sized shoes - for most it will not be a problem. I only use these shoes for indoor use.PRO'SUsing a laced shoes provides greater control with regards to how tight you want the shoe to fit on your foot- as opposed to using the common velcro straps. The shoe is very light and well made (no cheap stitching found on my pair). As noted by the mfg, the shoe will accommodate whichever cleat system is desirable.CONSThe padding is very thin as some other reviews have noted - personally, I use a thicker sports insert for the sole - I do not feel the cleat pressing on the foot as others have noted. If using outdoors, laces tend to break down more quickly if they are wet/damp. For that reason alone, I will not use these as an outdoor shoe for cycling. If you happen to live in a dry climate - these shoes will be just fine.

Nice product, with nice features
Nice product, with nice features. I have wider feet and normally wear a USA size 11 in regular shoes. The size chart link to this Giro pair of cycling shoes indicated that USA size 11 should choose Europe size 44, but some of the reviews here suggested to to get Europe size 45 instead. However I have 2 pairs of different brand mtb cycling shoes and their USA 11 = Europe 45, but they are little tight with thick socks. So needless to say I was somewhat confused and spent several days trying to decide on the right size to get for me. I ended up going with my gut feeling and ordered the Europe size *46* instead. I am very happy that I did, because that turned out to be the perfect size for my wider feet and is very comfortable on rides. Giro Men's Treble II Matte Black Bike Shoe - 46 M EU

find to order two sizes larger (UE) than normal in the
Orig order a size 42, in black/graphite converts to a size 9 US, I do wear size 9's , and I have narrow feet ...But these were too tight and my large toe only had about 1/4 space from the tip of the shoe, I retuned them and ordered a size 43 US 9.5!, I But! the black/graphite were sold out in that size, I was reluctant to order ones with red shoe strings!, I am middle aged old @___! lol . But when they arrived they are actually grt looking shoes, I tried them on and as I suspected now a bit more room than I hoped. But!I knew that would be the case with having such narrow feet. I also purchase a 3 set/pair of Giro athletic socks with thick soles and I put them on and that help make these shoes fit like a glove. I am very pleased with this product and these like all the Giro products (and biking attire/ gear/accessories) I also purchased are of great quality. Just buyer be ware they are sized according to Asia and EU sizing and not us over weight American's.. lol Well I have a Euro physic 5'7" 140 lbs. But in U.S. sizing chart that puts me in a men's small to medium if slim sized,,,,, Asia it is a LARGE (outer wear). EU a medium at least. I have found out the hard way after purchasing the apparel ,, which I rated on those items on Amazon as well.

How About A Size Chart?!
It depends on what you want, I guess. I took a guess at what size in European I needed and was about 3/4 of a size too large. I sent them Back. Incidentally, I normally wear a size 12 US in normal shoes and hiking shoes, which is somewhere between 46 and 47 apparently. I think the 46 might be a better fit for me, but I decided on a different shoe.I tried these on and did a minimal walk around, and they are very comfortable. I didn't put the cleat on, so I don't know what that's like. However, I thought they felt too soft (in my opinion) even in the pedal area. The sole on the bottom (the orange part) is a super squishy foam similar to the stuff Crocs are made of. It's really comfortable, but I'm a tad dubious of its durability. And I worried my foot would be bending all over the place around the pedal. (Read the other reviews--I didn't ride in them.)The strap you see is for you to tuck your laces into. The laces are really long, and there isn't any other tuck area besides into the shoe. Also, they are really lightweight and sort of vented. I think they would be great summer shoes, but not for wet or cold weather. This is not a negative review. I think they look great, and they are really comfy if you can nail down your size. I sort of want something a bit more solid for biking and clipping out of the pedals though.

The shoe material is very shiny haz yellow/green plastic material ...
The shoe material is very shiny haz yellow/green plastic material. It will scrape off -- I was in a crash and a small spot was abraded off. The overall quality of shoes seems to have declined lately, shoes made 20 years ago lasted a lot longer. I got this shoe so I would be visible and they do that job very well. I don't expect they will last more than 3-4 years, but that is the price I am willing to pay to avoid being hit by an inattentive driver.

Four Star Footwear
I wanted a cycle shoe that I was able to wear to and from class, with the occasional stop at the grocery store on the way back. I thought this was the one for me due to the recessed cleat area, but unfortunately despite the recession the cleat still scratches against the ground when you walk in them. I like the style a lot and they've improved my cycling vs. an ordinary sneaker so I'm still giving 4 stars.

Good fit, follow Chart
I listened to a review and went up a size and the shoes were too big. I am a European 44 pretty consistently and the sizing chart corresponds with my US size well. However, I realize all feet aren't the same. I wish the straps were longer and the one closest to your body can be a bother if not pulled loosely. They are adjustable enough to find a good fit. Hex a screws were nice too.
