Brought to replace a £70 scanner that I had misplaced. This one is much easier to use due to quality /size of screen and buttons. Well made with good quality plastic and rubber protective bumper. Good length of flexible cable. Fully featured and reads all the modules fitted to my polo and found codes that an ELM327 couldn’t. Very pleased with this and would recommend.

Will not communicate with BMW F45 to allow rear electronic hand brake, to be put in to service position, to allow rear pads to be changed. Device states that this option is not supported. I have emailed Autophix and await a reply. Appears to be a good device for fault code reading and basic resets, but in my opinion does not offer a genuine capability for service work.UPDATE.Customer service is first class, got a reply from Autophix within 24 hrs, with details of how to update device. It was successful and now is capable of putting the electronic braking system in to service mode.I hope upped my rating to 4 stars because it would appear that the same screen layout is used for various models and makes of these readers and you have to delve in to the system to find the option you require.Overall now very pleased with the device, could be vastly improved if it had an inbuilt battery so you could scroll through the various options available and also store results.

Number 1 :- free updates how many snap on etc tools stop working efficiently if you don’t spend ridiculous amounts of money you can update this machine for ever free!!Number 2 :- so easy to use , it has a massive capability for BMW cars especially my mini and it comes in an easy clean hard plastic case , I am really impressed with this machine I’m glad that I bought mine it has saved me thousands in garage bills

I bought this for a bmw. It will clear error codes & has helped me. I have an issue with my front brake pads saying they need replacing, despite them being new & a new sensor fitted, I was able to reset to remove the warning light (the normal reset in the car wasn’t working). It has also worked on a mates car too for his engine management light.

Recommended by a friend with a newer model of car, wouldn’t reset my oil service indicator.Link for support goes to a UK vehicle repair company who are very tired of being asked for support with the Autophix and have repeatedly asked Amazon to remove the link.

Bought this specifically as it had BMW specific functions over and above its general vehicle OBD 2 fault analysis functionsIt allowed me to bleed/purge my fuel system after a diesel filter change and not damage my 35d by cranking a load of air through the engine.Its already paid for itself as I plugged into my wifes Renault Captur and it gave me a very specific fault analysis that identified a faulty glow plug.£32 via Autodoc and an hours work on her car and alls good.I normally fault scan my BMW with Carly but this thing is instantly quick and more detailed in the fault info it providesNicely put together as wellDefinitely a 5* purchase of the year for me
