Q: How does this compare to american girl dolls?

It doesn’t, they are much cheaper and look good as the American Girl Dolls and their hair is beautiful n full and outfit comes with a woman’s bag- too cute!!

Q: How is the quality of the hair? I have some other cheap dolls which came with fabulous hair but after kids styled the hair it got frizzy and gross

The hair is actually way better than brands like our generation and mylife. I just picked up some used JG dolls and the hair was curly and messy and I sprayed with water and a wide tooth comb and voila beautiful, no fall out and no frizz.

Q: Does journey girls meredith doll’s leg bend so that it can sit on its bottom?

Yes her legs bend, she can sit on her bottom but she leans back when she sits.., so it’s better standing, unless you have something holding it up from the back.
