Shoody, the design is painted on
The product is not as described at all. The pattern is printed on with cheap white paint which is already flaking on arrival. Not a woven chindi. Didn't send it back because it's so inconvenient to do so. It will do for wiping our feet on. But don't buy this, keep looking. I've bought good quality chindi rugs elsewhere on Amazon.
