Great versatile knife
great quality as victorinox knives usually are. Perfect addition to my collection. Perfect for taking to work for lunch or picnics and camping. Sharp serrated edge which can be used to cut anything from fruit to bread. strong locking mechanism, but could see some people struggle if not accustomed to folding knives and quite stiff to begin with, but quickly becomes easier to use with a few uses. great value in my opinion as i know the brand well and they are built to last while still being budget friendly.

Just perfect for its intended use (cutting up food)
Excellent fruit knife, but can do so much more. In fact, it's the perfect picnic knife, as with its razor-sharp serrated blade, it can slice bread, cut meat and cheese, etc., with great ease. Light nylon (?) moulded handle, with the usual Victorinox Stainless steel blade, liner and blade lock. I ended up buying two - one for use at home / in the garden, the other for permanent place in my travel bags for use on holiday. Simply, not least for the amazingly good price, something every foodie should own!

Brought this knife for when I go fishing! Great for cutting meat, vegetables, bread etc. very sharp so handle with care! I love the fact it folds down and locks in place which is a great safety feature. Definitely worth the price!

Excellent picnic knife, but is it legal in the UK?
This is unquestionably the best picnic knife I've ever had. It is a decent size, very sharp and extremely safe as the blade locks in place. It's an essential part of my picnic kit. Now I'm retired, I often just get on a bus and go where the fancy takes me. I don't take any food with me (as it can get messy in my day bag). Instead, I have a small picnic kit comprising this knife, a spork, a few sheets of kitchen paper and a bottle of hand gel. I can then buy whatever I fancy when I get where I'm going. A good knife is absolutely essential. A picnic knife needs to fulfil two specific functions: (i) it must cut bread, meat and fruit/veg and (ii) spread butter, cheese spread, mayonnaise etc. To do both of these, the blade needs to be sharp and have a rounded end. It must also be easy to clean. The rounded tip of the 10 cm blade makes it ideal for spreading and the sharpened edge of the blade is serrated and extremely sharp for cutting soft bread and hard cheese. The plastic handle offers a good grip and is large enough to grip securely. Before buying this knife, I always carried an Opinel #7 (i.e. 7 cm blade) scout knife in my picnic kit. This knife will replace it for the simple reason that, being made of plastic and stainless steel, it can be washed in the dishwasher when I get home. The Opinel, having a wooden handle and carbon steel blade, needs to be kept dry. Now, regarding the legality. (This bit was generated by AI) Key points about carrying locking blade knives in the UK Legality: It is illegal to carry a locking blade knife in a public place without a good reason. Definition of a lock knife: A lock knife is not a folding pocket knife; its blade locks into place when fully extended and can only be closed by releasing the locking mechanism. "Good reason": This is subject to interpretation by law enforcement and a court. Examples of good reasons include: * Carrying a work knife for your job. * Transporting a knife for a religious purpose, such as a Sikh kirpan. * Carrying a knife for use in theatre, film, or historical reenactment. The list of good reasons given in the law is not exclusive. I carry mine in a closed plastic box in my backpack which contains my picnic kit. I'm hoping two things: (i) I never get searched by the police while carrying it. (I've never even been stopped by a police officer in my 74 years on Earth.) (ii) a jury would see that being in a picnic kit and used only for that purpose would constitute a "good reason." This is a wonderful addition to my picnic kit and I highly recommend it.

Very sharp and great for taking on holiday (Not in hand luggage, obviousy)
Bough this to take away on holiday as really fed up with knives in self catering accommodation being as sharp as the business end of a hammer. A bit expansive maybe, but having used the non folding Victorinox equivalents at home, it seemed like a good idea to try this one out Well, it's a superb knife. I used it mainly for slicing those nice Spanish Boccadillo rolls and it works a treat. Just as good as any decent bread knife. Also worked brilliantly on same, tomatoes, lemons, and just abut everything else I tried it on. In other words, it is very, very sharp. Care needed, but if you need telling that, you probably shouldn't be let near sharp objects in the first place, right? The handle feels solid as does the folding mechanism, which is very simple to operate. Need two hands though. Maybe a tad expensive for what is essentially a pocket knife, but then again it is Victorinox and it is probably the sharpest pocket knife I've ever owned. I got the yellow one as it was £s cheaper than the other colours available. I really don't understand why the price difference as the product is exactly the same, other than the handle colour. Go figure....... I am now thinking of ordering a couple more. One to keep at home and one in the caravan. Wish I'd bought this years ago, (assuming it was around then) Definitely recommended.

Brilliant for camping and in the kitchen.
Amazing knife. Bought it initially for camping but use it in the kitchen now. Had this for over a year still sharp and cuts easily. Love that I can fold it as makes it safe around children. If this breaks that's the only knife I will be getting to replace it.

Super sharp, bit tricky to fold away though
The blade is brilliant. Super sharp, cuts through anything like a razor, folds down well and stashes away nice & discretely. We took this on a 3 month bicycle tour to use as part of our mini kitchen. Only complaint is that it's a bit tricky to fold back down, the snitch bit is a bit awkward and you do risk slamming the blade on your hand, but you get the hang of it and I've not had any injuries yet but might be something to bear in mind.

Très pratique et très coupant, victorinox a enfin sorti un bleu pliant, pas tout à fait le même bleu que le fixe, mais ça fait l'affaire.

Review: Victorinox Swiss Classic Foldable Paring Knife, Wavy Edge Pink 4.3 in Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5/5) Victorinox is a name synonymous with quality, versatility, and durability. With its Swiss Classic Foldable Paring Knife, the brand doesn't disappoint. In fact, it takes kitchen craftsmanship to a whole new level, deftly blending functionality with style. A Cut Above the Rest The wavy edge on this 4.3-inch paring knife is a revelation. It makes tasks like slicing through fruits, vegetables, and small cuts of meat an absolute breeze. The edge retention is phenomenal, remaining sharp for long periods even with regular use. Foldable Wonder The foldable design is a real game-changer. Not only does it offer extra protection for the blade, but it also makes the knife incredibly portable. Toss it in your picnic basket, your work lunch bag, or your camping gear without worrying about damaging the blade or, worse, the contents of the bag. Color Me Impressed The pink hue on this knife isn't just a style statement; it's an expression of personality. Bright, vibrant, and fun, the color adds a dash of flair to the often-monochrome world of kitchen tools. And for those concerned about cross-contamination, the color-coding can be a functional addition to your food preparation routine. Ergonomic Excellence The handle on the Victorinox Swiss Classic Foldable Paring Knife is a masterclass in ergonomic design. Comfortable to grip and balanced perfectly with the blade, it minimizes hand fatigue, allowing for precise cuts even during long kitchen sessions. Swiss Reliability Victorinox's Swiss heritage shines through in the quality of craftsmanship. The knife feels solid and dependable, almost urging you to put it to the test. And when you do, it delivers, time and again. Room for Improvement? Honestly, it's hard to find any fault with this product. If one were to nitpick, a lock for the folding mechanism could provide an added layer of safety, but the existing design already offers a secure fold that resists accidental unfolding. Final Verdict This isn't just a knife; it's an indispensable kitchen companion. Victorinox has crafted a tool that isn't merely functional but also stylish and portable. Whether you're a home cook, a professional chef, or someone who loves a good outdoor feast, the Victorinox Swiss Classic Foldable Paring Knife is a cut above the rest. Highly recommended for slicing, dicing, and everything in between!
