Q: Has anyone tested to see if it is actually waterproof OR simply water resistant? Like could it protect things if submerged in pool or flood?

NOT waterproof! Wife had her phone in one while wading in chest deep water. Would probably be better if it had one more fold but... Our solutiion was to enclose the contents in a couple zip lock bags, then put in the "waterproof" bag. Can't say that I wouldn't recommend because I don't know your expectations or how you intend to use. I wouldn't buy again.

The hole on the waterproof bag is for hanging the rope, and it is airtight around the hole to prevent water from entering; the thread can pass through the hole for your convenience; if there is anything that is not waterproof, you can contact us, we will follow up on the issue
