Is this damaging?? Is it semi permanent?

Permanent. I’ve had my color in for a year now and it hasn’t faded. When I put it in, My hair didn’t feel damaged but I started on virgin hair. I left it on far longer than the time it listed because it processed slow for me but I was still fine but I also did a protein treatment during the wash out process so it could be that. All permanent dyes are somewhat damaging but you can prevent it with a protein treatment before or after.
