will this work on an asus Z97-a motherboard?

No. This is DDR4 ram. That motherboard only accepts DDR3. And to the best of my knowledge there are no LGA1150 motherboards that accept DDR4

Is this compatible with the asus zenith x399 motherboard? What If i get 2×16 -3200 now & in a few months get another set of 2×16 - 3200?

It should be compatible, with 270 and 399 chipsets. Both Corsair and Asus should have more info on compatibility. Although you will probably not notice the difference with 2x16 +2x16, getting a 4x16 matched set is always a good idea.

Will this work with a Z370 motherboard?

Just installed the 32GB RGB 3000 C15 into a ASROCK Z390 Phantom SLI-AC and it works great -- Not sure why the pro would be any different on the Z370
