Granddaughter loves this series, but this one is a nice hardback, slightly bigger and has the really nice paper pages, so she can learn to turn pages. She's two but LOVES the llama llama books. I wish I had written them. Came wrapped, so I knew it was a fresh book.

Love this addition to our Llama Llama library! Whether you’re familiar with Llama Llama or new, this is such a great book! Perfect for anyone wanting to encourage and motivate their littles to read and that reading is fun. Whether just introducing the concept of reading, letter recognition, phonics, sight words, simple sentences or more, this book does a great job covering it all. I love that it progresses from how letters have different sounds, and the letters form to make words, the words come together to form sentences and sentences can tell stories in a book! It covers not getting frustrated while learning to read and to be proud of learning to read!

Words that grab a child's attention, perfect for the suggested age range and accompanied by whimsical illustrations. My grandson was captivated to the very last page, and happily spelled along with Llama Llama!
