It works very well
Scary to order online. Not Returnable. We had a professional install. Going through new tile was a bit unnerving. Very sleek looking. Nice hood so far. It is far heavier then any other hood we have ever had. But it has a larger motor.

Difficulty Contacting Authorized Installer
Sadly, I have no idea whether or not the Fotile EMS9018 meets my high expectations; I have not yet been able to have it installed. It was delivered sixteen days ago and though I have been in contact with Customer Service a number of times, I do not appear to have made any progress towards having it installed. On the day it arrived, I called Fotile US so that I could be put in contact with their local authorized installer. Soon after I completed the call, I received an e-mail containing my Case Number and assurance that the local authorized installer would contact me within three business days. I am a patient person, so it was only after three business days, a weekend and another 1 1/2 business days that I initiated a chat with Customer Service (CS) to alert Fotile that no installer had contacted me. Two days later, I was called by a gentleman who may have been the installer. Unfortunately, he and I could not communicate because he could not speak English. I tried to encourage him towards making an appointment by saying “yes” and “install” a few times, but I fear his English was limited to “no English.” I tried a second call, but, not unexpectedly, it was equally unsuccessful; that is where we had to leave it. After waiting a few additional days hoping for some progress, I initiated a chat with CS about the apparent lack of progress and the non-productive phone call. We closed the chat with a promise that a technician from Fotile would contact me before the end of that day. Sadly, that was 3 1/2 days ago and I have neither received the promised phone call from the technician nor heard anything more from the company about installation. One of the major selling points for buying Fotile is their five-year warranty. I do not want to have some problem in the future because I had to hire someone not trained or authorized by Fotile.

Really nice vent hood... Go Fotile
This is very good vent hood and very quiet fan... worth every dollars.. it China made but one of the best vent hood there in the market... Very happy with it... I would recommended but it little pricey.. It worth it...

Not at all worth it.
I read some online reviews and thought this is designed and meant for Asian cooking with constant fish and meat smells. So I bought this based on that for $2500. Oh boy, it's no where near 1000 CFM like they state, it's may be 500-600 at max. They claim they rate it higher due to their technology or something. At the end of the day this is mediocre grade and may be worth $700 at max and not $2800!They didnt have the extension in stock for ages so we couldn't install. But after 2 months I ordered it through Lowes and they delayed it for weeks. Now I can't return it and stuck with this. Their support team takes forever to respond too.
