Keep the bugs from SPLATTERING on your windshield!
I don't care what anyone says, these AVS Bugflectors are worth their weight in gold. Okay, maybe a slight exaggeration, but they really do make a difference on the road.Only problem with them for some model vehicles (like the 2011 Toyota Tundra this one was put on) is they can be a huge pain in the a$$ to install. This particular one required the grill be completely removed, OEM clips removed and replaced with ones that came with the Bugflector. Bugflector gets installed loosely, grill replaced loosley, everything centered and lined up then snugged down. One other problem was the little plastic screws and anchors that came wit the Bugflector did not stay mounted in the pre-existing holes under the hood. I had to force them in and also reinforce the connection of the Bugflector to the hood with 3M automotive grade double sided adhesive tape.Even though a pain in the a$$, still well worth it and the price here could not be beat!!!In the end a pain but looks awesome!!!

Easy enough to install - great value
So, the instructions were easy enough - you just have to work around differences in your vehicle and the instructions. I have a 2013 Tundra Crewmax, and the grill I had didn't have any hidden screws to remove from the front. And, once the screws I did have were removed, you kinda' wince a little when it says to pry the grill off, and you are not sure you've removed everything. My biggest advice from my experience is be careful when unscrewing the hood latch. I had to improvise a solution when I broke the plastic piece that holds the rod to the bottom lever. That seems pretty fragile. Other than that, it looks great, fits perfect, and arrived in just two days.

Looks great; works good; pain to install
Purchased for my 2017 Toyota Sequoia. Installing this thing was a bit tricky. I ended up Googling a YouTube video and I was happy to find out I’m far from the first in having a difficult time installing. Although the process is straight forward, in practice it’s most difficult lining up the deflector with the holes in the hood while aligning the front grill. I highly recommend this as a two person job (I used my 16 y/o son) to ensure nothing falls during installation. BIG TIP - Ensure the hood latch has something blocking so that it can’t latch while during installation or else you’re going to spend some time trying to reopen the hood.

Excellent
Bought for my wife's toyota, fit perfect and looks great. Easy to install with included directions. Took maybe 30 minutes. Gives the truck a "mean" look

1hr, handy but no expert! Does the trick and looks good.
Exactly as described. I am a pretty handy person and after installing fender flares last week I didn't hesitate to attempt this myself. Installation was fairly simple even though I don't have a ton of vehicle mod experience. It turns out the aftermarket grille on our Tundra didn't require the first step but did require the longer pins even though the directions said we wouldn't need them for our model year. In removing the grille it was extremely helpful that the directions said it would make a loud POP sound so I was a bit more confident in tugging it off. Although it did snap off one of the snaps at the far end, it turns out those snaps look pretty overkill and they weren't going to latch properly with the deflector in between anyway due to the added thickness. With some studying of the directions and the slightly different grille on our truck (sport grille, 2008 Tundra), all in all it took me and hour from opening the package to cleaning up and heading to work.

Hard installation, So-So fit. Low Price.
Overall it’s not bad for under $45. It’s a pain having to disconnect the hood latch and remove the grill. I don’t feel it fit quite right. It’s not bad and actually looks good, but upon close examination you can tell that they good have done better fitting it to the trucks contour. The 2 screws that fasten it to the hood would not work with my application so I had to drill 2 small holes under my hood to attach it to. Install took about 30 minutes. Like I said, it looks good but it could have fit a little better.

Two person job, one side at a time.
We installed ours today. Definitely a two person job. We had to use our own common sense, and really look at the underside of the hood and grill to understand what parts needed to separated from each other. Also, had to be brave yet gentile. We learned that only one side of the shield could be attached while reattaching the grill. (One side attached, the other lined up in place held by your buddy, and ready to be attached. This allows some wiggle room as the grill wont go on without some extra room.) Once grill is in place attach the final end with plastic plug.Finish by screwing the bolts back on.Stand back and admire your work. Give your buddy a high-five, and get a cold beverage of choice to celebrate. If any of the black plugs break, go to your local Napa or equivalent for replacement. Replacements from Napa are a better quality than provided! Maybe get some before starting?!?Final notes: Get an early start.Be hydrated, and fed.Pick a day where you have a buddy, both of you need patience.Do not be in a rush.Pick a time of day where you have time to run to local Napa for replacement plugs if needed. Or buy some beforehand (as mentioned before, they seem to be better quality.)
