Probably a stretch saying it's for 1 or 2 people.
This is just as good as I was hoping for. I recently bought a fry pot and while it is OK, it needs a lot of oil and it's hard to maintain the temperature. Since I'm usually just cooking for myself, I saw this and thought it would be ideal. And it is. Granted it is VERY small and I question that it's suitable for 2 people. One chicken tender will fit in the basket and 3 crab rangoon barely fits. I did 4 mushrooms that I had halved and that was the limit for mushrooms. But, again just for me, those are all fine. I love that it only uses 1 qt of oil. And the thermostat seems to be very accurate. If this thing would die tomorrow I'd replace it (although I hope the warranty would cover it this early in me owning it). No regrets whatsoever on buying it.

Works well, but has its issues.
It works as it should for small portions. HOWEVER, only fill oil to the minimum level for first usage, then add if needed. I went half way between min and max, and the 350 degree oil spilled over when adding the food. Created a giant mess...not to mention a potentially very dangerous fire and burn situation. It would be nice if it had a set temperature indicator and a hook for the basket. For the price, the fryer fits my temporary needs, but for longer term usage I'd go with a different unit.

Exactly what I expected, PERFECT!
I'm very pleased with this Presto fryer. I have an old (very old) Presto Deep fryer that I've used on and off for oh so many years. I didn't know they could last that long. That is the reason I purchased this small Presto Deep Fryer for my motorhome. I'm counting on it outlasting me haha!I used it for dinner tonight. I had some leftover homemade egg rolls in the freezer and fried them for about 5 minutes. They were still partially frozen and turned out fantastic. It comfortably held 4 regular-sized egg rolls. My next project will be fried homemade spinach & artichoke ravioli. The size is perfect for a single person or a couple. It will be great for fried mushrooms and wontons. My other one is such a breeze to clean, I'm assuming this one will be too. I highly recommend Presto to anyone looking for a quality, reliable product. I was surprised and pleased to see that they still make the magnetic cord for the fryer. 10 stars.

Missing one feature
This is a great little deep fryer, only issues is the main pot does not come out, so washing it is hard to do without getting the rest of it wet.

Worth it
Honestly it works pretty well, the instructions basically just tell you to use the same temp for everything and from my experience it’s the best temp for this device. Food cooks relatively fast with most items being around 3-5 minutes to cook. It’s pretty sturdy for its size. The design is very simple yet industrial so it may not want to be kept out in the open when not in use. I’d say it’s worth the money as it’s pretty good.

Fun and Successful and I love the basket
This is my first experience ever deep frying. Normally I don't like deep fried foods at restaurants but I recently saw some recipes I wanted to try, mainly fish and donuts! The directions and warnings are rather terrifying. Yet I proceeded, with great caution.Amazing! I love this little thing!First we fried a frozen Chinese donut. Never had that before but we got it at an Asisan market and it looked like fun. It was a bit large for the basket but fit in. There was no splattering whatsoever and it cooked ideally in 3 minutes. We allowed the oil to head without food for another 4 minutes. We had the temp setting at 350 the entire time. I tried to use my thermometer gun and it read 395 but perhaps it was seeing through the oil to the inside walls of the cooker. Not sure.Next we cooked cod. Cut the cod into 4 inch pieces. Dipped it into egg and then into panko. I was able to fit three pieces of cod in the basket without them touching each other. Upon lowering the excellent basket, there was no splattering. 3 minutes later we checked by looking in and the oil was bubbling a lot and the fish looked golden. Took it out and put it on a towel. It was hot so we had to wait and then MUNCH CRUNCH YUM! Wow!Perfect. Fun. Not greasy. Delicious. Now, personally, I do not plan to save my oil. I used Sunflower Oil. I plan to only use this cooker once a month as a fun treat. I let the cooker fully cool down before cleaning it up. Our kitchen did smell like a fish fry shop for an entire day even though we had the vent blowing. But it was worth it.Very happy with it.
