Don't Follow This Book, But Do As The Author Concludes!
On November 19, 2015, I was rushed into the community ER with total shutdown of my urine flow due to severe prostate swelling. That was just the first day of my continuing health care nightmare of inept medical personnel, my lack of huge cash reserves to buy the expensive health care attention that my specific needs require for accurate understanding and correct treatment, and the health care people's proper, respectful and caring patience, time and expensive diagnostic and treatment efforts required to reverse this utterly painful and persistent prostate malfunction. It began with the overloaded, over-stretched work load ER attending physician, trained like a monkey with only one option of recourse for prostate emergencies. His liability-focused routine provided me with two student nurses, who, bless their gentle, partially-educated, young career inexperienced assistance, were so gentle jamming that catheter up my penis, and then the debriefing by a more experienced nurse, then overnight observation to determine if further action was required, then my kind, sweet young mother nurse showing me how to maintain sanitation of my penis. The anchor balloon of that first permanent Foley catheter began slipping down into my prostate and by the end of December the most excruciating pain I've yet to experience by no pain control being administered - BY LAW - insertion of a much larger catheter, by a man who told me he was a retired Army stock clerk who was not a paramedic only because it paid less, slammed that monster up through my already mangled prostate causing my urine to be deep, dark blood red for the next 24 hours - at home. That was after I walked out of the assigned mockery of a Urologist's office when he adamantly refused to consider anything except his monkey training for prostate diagnosis besides the worst possible technique ever devised by Man to diagnose cancer, which he also was adamant that I "Must Have based on our blood pathology."Biopsy, by its very nature, pushes malignant cells into the blood stream. Above ANY and ALL other preliminary procedures, it murders by far the most patients with any form of malignant cell. The proven reason so many men die from metastasized prostate cancer is this one, painful, unproven effective procedure. Unproven for the simple reason that it misses, by its design, 90%+ of all possible malignant prostate cells! Yes! YOU do the research! It's sadly a fact that prostate biopsy misses at least 90% of malignant cells!I knew this fact before, from the research I did to find a way to reverse a very fast growing lump in my throat in 2009, and found and applied Hydrogen Peroxide as a mouth soak for the three months it took to completely eliminate that lump. No Xrays; no monkey-trained M.D.; no invasive biopsies; no chemo poisons. Just common sense and the most deadly to ALL pathogens inside the body, pure oxygen in my blood plasma. Yes, go search for this very thing!Start here . . . Flood Your Body with Oxygenhttps://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/0962052728/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1But, prostates are an entirely different monster when they go belly up. At least ten known functions of this most misunderstood gland with a plethora of key, vital health control functions can each and all cause it to go South, and malfunction seemingly at will, from an equal plethora of causes, most of which are little, and NOt understood AT ALL!My next stop was an equally high priced, highly patient-recommended Naturopath Physician. I liked his family-friendly, sage, natural nutrition and healthy digestion-focused diet advice, but his prostate savvy is nowhere in sight, so he recommended I go to a Urologist! I was already beyond my sorely limited retirement funds, and without enough to pay for the Medicare premium, I was at the end of my acquiring professional prostate care.I stepped up my own research. This and many other publications and proposed prostate healing natural nutrient concoctions with apparent valid testimonies have been acquired, and as I have no means to measure their effect, abandoned with little change to the malfunction of my prostate. However, by mid March this year urine began bypassing the partially-clogged catheter, due to the common microbial growth in it that binds minerals in urine into clumps that feel like stones as I pass a thin steel wire up through it to break them up several times daily. Then I flush these with 5% vinegar, careful to not get too much inside my bladder, for the nasty pain! Now we're ready for this book - sorta. This author is a trained money, big pharma M.D. He does not have a clue where honest health comes from!Go do the search for WHERE big pharma trained M.D.s' training comes from! The exact, same Nazi Death Camp pharmaceutical industry IS the only approved medical training system, including ALL it teachers, staff, and facilities, for 100% of ALL licensed M.D.s in the u.S.! Go do the research! It's all too true. The why is $$MONEY$$However, this author does include just one take away(I quote his words): "Consider that 1,200,000 men in the u.S. undergo a prostate biopsy each year, yet only half of them need it.(Footnote 4) Prostate biopsies are USUALLY(my Caps) safe, but as you saw in Richard's case, prostate biopsies do have serious risks."Dr. Jay S. Cohen, M.D. follows with; "This is why I encourage you to obtain *ALL THE TESTS YOU CAN, AND ALL THE SECOND OPINIONS YOU NEED (His emphasis) to be fully informed about what you have and what you need to do. YOU HAVE CANCER(His Emphasis - and as you learn that all cancer is, is a malignant bunch of cells that have advanced to forming their own blood vessels system, this advice APPLIES TO YOU!) "If ever there was a time for youto be assertive and ask questions about tests and treatments, IT IS NOW."(His emphasis.)There is an entire volume that my research on my prostate issue has added to my natural nutrition focus to reverse this nasty, intensely, knife-cutting raw flesh painful malady, and I've yet to uncover the unique key(s) to my specific malady. But, Dr. Cohen confirmed by his trained monkey medical system that I do NOT want to go his unnatural path to find the solution. He is unaware that the only effective healing our body understands is NOT the poorly-metabolized, and NO-metabolized synthetic slop the big pharma drug dealers jam down uninformed people's throats and into their veins, it is the natural, normally-metabolized plant-based healing nutrients which the body naturally uses for its health and well being building blocks of its natural design that reverse malignant cells without harm to the rest of our healthy metabolism. Big pharma is NOT in the business of understanding natural metabolism, it IS in the business of taking our hard-earned finances and returning PROFIT-generating, toxic slop that so damages our body that its immune and restorative systems then are excited into attempting to heal the damage, IF there is enough of the right NATURAL NUTRIENT available. The ULTIMATE take away of this book is this . . .Do Your Own Research!

Much information about what there can be done in the case of prostate cancer.
I bought this book for learning about prostate cancer, and activated to this when I 4 months ago heard that prostate cancer then had been discovered in a brother to one of our closest acquaintances. Actually he went through surgery 3 times and finally died a week ago, I have been told.Besides I still am continuing in reading books about cancer, until now at least 30, since my wife (a Thai) 4 year ago, here in Chiang Mai, went through a breast cancer surgery, with her breast removed, for a tumor on only 7 mm. This after she by two Thai doctors had been scared by hearing that she would die in a week if this not was done in two days; Monday. So this was done even though I and an English doctor told her, after looking on the scanning picture and the report, that only the tumor needed to be removed, and before also having time to think about what to do. But she was scared by hearing the word cancer, just as we in book read that too many persons unnecessarily go through prostate surgery after hearing the word cancer. When she a year later came home from a control, she then told that this day actually 32 women were in the hospital for breast cancer surgery, and all of them having their breasts removed. When we later that year met at doctor from a family which we know in Bangkok, and she heard about it she answered, “Totally wrong. So we don’t do in Bangkok”. Just as we read in the book that sometimes doctors can be wrong. The book is good by telling us about the many measuring methods, which most of the doctors which we meet don’t know about, and these using measuring methods that better can help in concluding if surgery, or chemotherapy, actually is needed. And especially Jay advises us to meet support groups, groups both consisting of persons who have been through the treatments and persons who just recently have been diagnosed in having prostate cancer. Jay went to such a group when he learned about it after he by doctors had been told that he had to get through a surgery. But then by meeting with the actual group he thereby learned about other measuring methods, and ended we measuring results concluding surgery not being necessary. And as he whites by meeting these persons he got more information than he had got from the doctors. In the book we read about some personal cases, among other cases showing that even though the measuring results for doctors were too high and thereby saying surgery, but when patients did not accept surgery but would wait, then by later measures the result just was the same or even had decreased. But to me especially the last case is warning, as we in this read about a person who ran into problem as the results of from the antibiotic taking for biopsy, then as result develop chills and fever, and so bad that he nearly died, and where first the third mark of antibiotic used brought it under control.By reading this book I now am more secure concerning what to do if I should be told that I suffer from prostate cancer

Does what is says on the tin - a step-by-step guide
This is EXACTLY what I had been looking for. Authorities on Prostate Cancer seem to take either an overly aggressive line (raised PSA=biopsy=prostatectomy) or an overly passive line (do nothing). This book takes you through your diagnosis and treatment options on a step-by-step basis and ensures that you receive the proper advice before you go ahead with unnecessary invasive treatment. The book loosely follows the author's experience but is packed with useful facts and references. I have no doubt that the diagnostic path recommended in this book will be the norm in a few years. If you have raised PSA levels I urge you to read this book before going any further. I did and I am now much more knowledgeable in my condition. One final point; the book has very useful step-by-step guides which is most useful when suddenly faced with a bewildering array of advice and new terminology.

A super summary of what is changing in the field of treatments for Prostate Cancer
Really great summary of what is new in this field.Written by a doctor - but not from the position of selling a particular approach. Its written from the perspective of someone on the receiving end.As anyone knows who's had a diagnosis - the available options are incredibly complicated. I've been researching this area since September and was starting to get a bit punch drunk over the options and for each option there seems so many sometimes conflicting opinions and little clear numerical data to inform decisions.Having a huge pile of materials collected - I was starting to get concerned over having to read them again. This book has helped me re-engage which is very important as I'll have to make decisions quite soon.Invaluable.

Useful and informative
The problem with the current tests and treatments of prostate cancer is that they are a mess of old patterns of thinking and new tests and procedures that are not yet consolidated into every doctors treatment systems. I found this text improved my awareness of the many things that can do good or go badly wrong with the system as it is now.The ideas in this document should be known by anyone starting to have investigations for suspected prostate problems. Get as much data as you can from many documents like this BEFORE you allow what may be unecessary and damaging treatments begin. I learned an intersting idea lately. It is that where there are many treatments for a disease, none of them work. Learn before you burn.

Good start for research and referencing
This is okay for the start of research and referencing and understanding the diagnosis and tests. Got to remember to view everything in context with individual and their medical advice and constant new treatments. It's helpful only but not definitive.

eager to know what to do to get good treatment. The boook describs where the patient can ...
This book is a must for patients confronted with the diagnosis of prostate cancer and their relatives, eager to know what to do to get good treatment. The boook describs where the patient can get the best solutions, mainly as US Citizen. There is a lot of Progress in prostate cancer, and the book explains many aspects in clear way. It gives a good platform for planning what to do in management, Non-S citizens may have to find resources outside US themselves but they get the idea of what to go for.The novelties of 2014 may well end up as the standard of care in future.
