Super powerful and well worth the price
I have had this laptop for around 24 hours, so keep in mind this is my very first impression of it.First things first, the performance is outstanding for a laptop of this quality. I tested it out by playing Minecraft on the highest graphic settings with a large chunk loading distance and it ran like an absolute dream; constant 60fps and the bottom didn't even get warm! One thing you should know though: the fan is quite loud. There is a keyboard shortcut to limit how hard the fan works so you don't have to hear it all the time, but I could hear it from the other room while the house was quiet before I turned it down. So if you want to play any performance-heavy games, just know the fan will need to go hard and it will be loud, so just wear some headphones and you should be able to knock out the sound pretty well. The SSD is pretty quick, I noticed a big difference in loading times for everything after coming from an older harddrive. The screen is very high-res, and all of my background pics from my old computer look like 360p on it so I had to find some actual 4k pictures to use and they look fantastic. Resolution looks amazing all around, and I'm sure it can handle pretty much anything you throw at it in that regard. The laptop is not very heavy at all for what's inside it. I haven't weighed it but just to show you, when i picked up the package delivery at first I thought it couldn't have been a laptop because of how light it was.The battery seems good, I haven't had the chance to drain it past 50% and I'd like some more time with it to give a full review on it but it's quite adequate for anything low on power requirements and gives several hours on half charge. I would plug in for any gaming though, as I would for any laptop. The laptop shell is quite durable, not like an actually military tuff book as it looks, but still nice and strong. The keyboard is very nice, the keys are super high quality plastic and they have very soft clicks even if you type hard. Plus the LED rainbow backlighting is such a joy, I felt so cool when I turned it on like I was a real MLG gamer or something.Overall this laptop is a dream come true, It's so powerful for the price you pay for it. I would venture to guess it's one of the most powerful low-to-mid-range laptops you can buy. I paid way more for an Asus 7 years ago that was only about a third as powerful, so it's nice to see how far technology has progressed.

9/10 would buy again
Purpose built just for gaming. Everything that isn't essential to the gaming experience is sacrificed. It has poor quality native speakers, loud fans, poor battery life, minimalist trackpad and no pointer. But when gaming you're likely to use a mouse, headset, and have this plugged in during use. Meanwhile the internal specs are outstanding for this price point. The result is all-around great gaming machine at a comparatively low price. Also, lots of thoughtful little design features are apparent, like a full numpad, nicely spaced keys, all indicator LEDs still visible with the screen closed, RGB backlit keyboard, and a build that both looks and feels quality. On occasion I've had an issue with the screen staying black when booting up from sleeping. Otherwise I've been very pleased with this machine from an aesthetic and functional standpoint. I definitely recommend installing additional RAM if you can.

Had it for half a year and I love it.
Long story short, it's a great laptop. It can run most games in high settings (like Monster Hunter), a few in ultra (like The Witcher 3), and after upgrading the ram, nothing I throw at it makes it lag. The keyboard and screen are very pleasant. I upgraded the RAM from 8 to 32 and have yet to see it lag, no matter what I throw at it. I'm no computer expert but I think I got the very best value out of this one, highest quality at the lowest price. I've recommended it to friends and those who have gotten it have been blown away. If something seems wrong with the laptop, send it back, because it's built to work perfectly.Just to get specific for reference, a couple of games I've played in it that run smooth as butter in high-to-ultra settings are:The Witcher 3Monster Hunter WorldGTA VCode VeinRegarding what a few other reviewers have said about the fan being too noisy, just press Fn + F5 to switch to silent mode. Too slow for games? Press it again for performance or turbo modes. If you play with it, I suggest wearing headphones, otherwise the fans are bound to get annoying. Wear a headset, you won't even notice the fans.

Great specs for the price, Can't go wrong
It's only been a day so far, so I may come back to edit this if I have anything to add. It's a great laptop. It's running Fusion 360 smoothly. I haven't played any games on it yet, but I can imagine that will be effortless. Battery life is great. Nice build quality. Only issue I had was the brightness wouldn't change, but after a reboot it fixed itself. Got it from the Amazon Warehouse used program, and I wouldn't even call this used. I'm pretty sure someone got it, didn't like it and returned it. Nothing missing or broken. Works perfect and it saved me money.Back after a few months. Overall this thing is great for my uses. I just wish I knew how to control the fans. It doesn't get hot but it doesn't seem like there is a middle ground between high and low fan speed. It can get loud when it kicks up.

Fast, Well Made Laptop, not just for Gaming, but no touch screen
Initial Experience: I bought this for my wife as a replacement for an older laptop. Even though her use cases are Office 365 and Web browsing, she has suffered from slow performance on her older Toshiba, despite all tuning attempts. And wow, this delivered!Very well made/sturdy, amazing screen, super fast, advanced network speeds, excellent cooling, and was not delivered with a bunch of bloatware to be uninstalled, other than a 30 day trial for McAfee AV.The only thing I could even think someone else would want, a touchscreen, wasn't an issue for us.And it's delivered at a price point where it's a good value for general use (even if you might sneak in a game now and then.) She's delighted!
