This will be a short review from me. I was given this product to do a review as the average consumer.I am a person who likes to cook, ranging cooking dishes from steak, fried rice to egg.My friend and I bought this food thermometer to use it weekly. We have been using this for last few months.The thermometer does it job by measuring temperature in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. The speed that it measure temperature is pretty fast. You don't even have to click anything to make it start working. As soon as you move the needle, it turns on. It is fast enough that as you place the needle it will show the number right away. This machine also has rotating function so that you don't have to place the needle in a certain way to read the values. Another great thing is this product has backlit screen so if you ever cook outside in the dark you don't need your phone or other lights to make sure you can read. Lastly. I am happy that this is waterproof. I accidentally dropped in a bowl of water when I was cooking and it surprised me that it was waterproof as it was advertised.I was not able to use the min. and max. recording function that they indicated or other geeky parts. However, as a day to day cooking person. This is more than you can ask for.I would like to point out that the company who thought of these small ideas are caring for the customer. Small things like bottle opener (I don't know if you drink beer in a bottle but for me it was handy to have.) The product material is not premium but it reaches the basic standards of my preference. It is hard plastic outside and it feels sturdy base on its weight.I would definitely recommend this product who is looking for cheap and sturdy thermometer. It did not go wrong for last few months. However, I might revisit my review after a year. or someone can give me a nudge through Amazon so that I can edit this review after a year of usage.Thanks Marsno, you did a good job! Stopped Working After 6 Months. When it worked it was fine. Seller makes it too difficult and time consuming to contact for a replacement. Striking this seller off the list for the future.***UPDATE*** Shortly after writing this review the seller did reach and offer to make things right by sending me a new thermometer. I received the new one within a couple of days and have used it a couple of times without problem so I've upgraded my review from 1 star to 4 for now. If I have the same problem again I will update again and if I have no problems I will upgrade the review to 5 stars. I think the main issue with this thermometer is that it's really not very waterproof. I noticed a number of other reviewers make this point. I am going to try my best to not submerge it in the future and just wipe the probe off with soap and water. I noticed one review mention that this thermometer is slow in reading. This is not something I've experienced. I think it reads very quickly and certainly fast enough for most home users. Again, I applaud this seller for their customer service efforts. Hopefully, I will get longer use out of the new one.

I first used one of these thermometers at a friend's house while cooking steaks. Before that, I was used to using some lower-tech solutions at home (like cutting into the meat to see if it was done). I made note of the brand, because I wanted to buy one, but imagine my surprise when it cost seventy dollars!Not wanting to spend *that* much money, I opted for one of the cheaper competitors, eventually settling on this one simply because I liked the fact that it had a beer bottle opener on it, and I like drinking beer when I grill.It doesn't look quite as svelte as the expensive one my friend owns, but I'm happy to say that it performs even better than I thought it would, and cost only about a third as much!Some other points I find useful include:--It auto turns on when you flick the probe out, and turns itself off automatically when you put the prob back in it's spot.--The LCD light makes it easy to use outside at night, or in any dim lighting situation.--Celsius AND Fahrenheit measuring.--Temperature saving function, to remember what the last temperature was (haven't used it yet, but it was in the manual).--Magnetic back that makes it easy to attach to any metal surface (I keep mine on the cook-top range).--Auto screen rotation depending on what side you hold it on (it'll flip when upside down so you can read the numbers easier).--and, of course, the bottle opener.Would definitely recommend this to others looking for an accurate, easy-to-use thermometer for cooking!

I have to say i am not much of a cook but I try! One of my biggest shortcomings is meat. It is always either grossly overcooked or undercooked. I never really thought about using a meat thermometer but a friend suggested it and I decided to try it. The first one I got was a stripped down model without the ability to calibrate, another just flat out wasn’t accurate at all. I was ready to give up but someone recommended this one.. I have to say I wasn’t expecting much of a difference but I was pleasantly surprised. Not only was the Marsno thermometer easy to calibrate with complete,easy to understand directions. I rarely buy steaks or roasts because they always wind up tasting like shoe leather. The very first time I used the Marsno thermometer, my steaks were cooked to perfection. After that I guess you could say I became a pro at either grilling or broiling, thanks to my new gadget. As an extra perk, it has a bottle opener and a magnet so I can hang it on the refrigerator and won’t have to rummage in a drawer. It is also waterproof so easy to clean after use.The long probe makes it easy to get an accurate reading on larger cuts of meat.All of this and you can’t beat the price. This will be your favorite gadget.

My husband loves this thermometer. The font size of the temperature reading makes is especially easy to read which is fantastic for those aging eyes. The device is small and light and easy to store.

This does not last. I bought the thermometer, and it died after about a year. The company sent me a replacement, all good. Then within less than a year the replacement stopped working. And now they won’t send me another replacement because it’s out of the warranty range from my original purchase date. Do not waste your time and money on this.

This thermometer has a great backlight that stays on for longer than other thermometers, it shows the temperature very quickly and is precise and accurate, again I have tried others so I know it is superior. However it is not waterproof in the slightest. DO NOT GET WET. Wash the metal probe only and don’t let a single drop of water touch the plastic body or your device will be inoperable. Very bad false advertising. Choose a different device if you think there is even a slight chance you will get it wet. They will not send me a replacement device even though it’s only been a couple months. Bad customer service, even worse water resistance.
