UPDATED AGAIN:The pressure switch mentioned below failed on the replacement unit in the exact same fashion. When called their support said "we dont have those in stock" and maybe would have offered to replace the unit again but we are just not able to wait for these to fail every 6 months and have decided to move in a different direction with our pressure washing solution. See photos above for failed part. Same part. Same failure. Same timeframe.UPDATED AFTER 6 MONTHS:(note: once I got ahold of customer service, they did send a replacement unit at no charge and allowed us to keep the first unit)The pressure switch that tells the unit when to shut off after the trigger is released stripped from its bracket. I’ve called 3 times, left 2 messages for the customer service manager as directed by the email the customer service department replied to me with. Once emailing them back saying I haven’t gotten a reply they too did not reply. I am stuck with a unit that runs 100% of the time as long as it’s on and apparently zero way to contact the company. Until this is resolved, and with the wall mount issues - this unit is getting 2 stars and a recommendation to others to look elsewhere. Quality is just as important as post purchase customer service and support and it seems this unit struggles just enough to hold it back from being what it truly could be.Wall Mount:The studs included to mount the pressure washer were a fantastic touch. Nice and sturdy but simultaneously incompatible. I screwed the studs in as far as I could before the wrench contacted the wall and stopped me from screwing them in but apparently you have to find a way to get them in further because they are simply too long. The only way I was able to get it to fit (and it still barely does) is to use washers in the back. Even with this, the studs contact the back of the machine and have only BARELY made it possible for me to install the locks.Secondly, the mount is super flimsy!! It rocks up and down with ease especially when using the hose reel - a vital part of this machines bang for buck. It hasn't failed but it NEEDS to go into studs. The machine is heavy and the fact that there are only two mounting spots at the top make this mount a VERY flimsy option. I plan on removing the hose reel to install my own with my own hose but for someone not doing that this could be risky long term.All that aside this unit is phenomenal. It's whisper quiet (granted it's still an electric pump) and the instant off is INSTANT. This is a very noticeable upgrade into what I would consider "mid-tier" machines. Coming from the Karcher Cube initially there is a marked improvement with this unit. The performance, the sound, the instant off, the quality of the connections, the gun, it's all great. I really love the adjustable fan nozzle despite me maybe not using it long term the gun and the adjustable nozzel will be staying close by as a backup instead of in the bin like most accompanying accessories.All in all it's a phenomenal machine and could be a 10/10 with a better wall mount solution.

Great pressure. Good value for the size. I bought it for our beach home and it knocks the salt and sand away easily. The hose reel stinks! After I put it on the wall I came back out and the hose was completely unraveled from the drum. It needs some sort of resistance.

Non-Standard fittings for a pressure washer make this unit really unappealing. Good luck getting this to work with other pressure washing equipment such as things you get from Griots Garage.

First off, let me just say I have had many pressure washers in the past, all varied from electric and gasoline. All from Ryobi/SunJoe. This one blows them all out of the water, pun intended.This Pressure Washer is the best one on the market for the price. If you're washing cars you really need to have a GPM over 2.0+ and that is really hard to come by with electric pressure washers that aren't $1200+. Gasoline Pressure Washers are great especially for the price and amount of power/flow you get out of them, but they're a pain to keep going to turn on and off and filling it back up with gas.This Pressure Washer has an automatic ON/OFF feature, when you pull the trigger the pump begins and immediately shuts off as you let go of the trigger. It's a very satisfying feeling to not have to run back and forth to turn it on and off while I'm washing my cars.Another plus to this unit is that it comes with a bracket for it to be wall mounted! In just 10 seconds this unit can come on and off the wall with ease!Did I mention it comes with an amazing 70 ft hose and reel? You won't have to go buy and upgraded hose and reel for this unit because the factory one is AMAZING. I've gone through many hoses and reels with other units and it basically would end up costing me about $500 in total with the unit, and it still wasn't as great as this Comet unit.Whether you're a mobile detailer or a weekend warrior in your garage, this Comet Pressure Washer is the unit for you!

After over a year of deliberation I finally pulled the trigger on a Comet Static 1700 Pressure Washer.Unfortunately it arrived like I had feared...broken.The Hose Reel was snapped off where it mounts to the unit. Be sure to unwind the hose completely off the reel and inspect- the reel was cracked as well, There was also a crack on the back case where the pump is bolted to it. I don't know why Comet ships the unit as a complete assemble as with the reel mounted it is top heavy. I bet shipping damages would be kept at a minimum if they detached the reel before shipping out.I contacted the seller and in less than a week I had a new hose reel assemble with supports and a new case as well. Hat's off to Detailing Connect as they answered all my question before and after the sale and were quick to resolve my issues. I recommend them highly.I have been using the Pressure Washer for the last couple weeks and enjoy everything about it. The unit is much quieter than my last two electric pressure washers and the foam it produces with the almost 2 gpm can be shaving cream like if that's your thing. I got the AR MV925 Swivel Gun as well as a MTM 22.2 Foam Cannon and with the hose swivels and the included 65 foot rubber hose it is a joy to use for my car washes.

The media could not be loaded. I modded mine with a Coxreel, Kobrajet hose, MTM SGS28, and PF22.It’s got great output. Foams well using a 1.25mm oriface on my PF22. Has great cleaning power when using a 40 degree 4.0 MTM nozzle.To mod it just install the handle without the reel. Then get an M22-15 to M22-14 adapter.

Unit was pulled out of an undamaged box and quality control of the unit from the manufacturer was junk. Back case broken, button cover broken and o-ring was also torn and sprayed water all over on first start up. Was forced to use this unit and have tried to message shipper twice with them saying “we will talk to manufacture” both times with no resolution. Quite frustrating as this isn’t a cheap unit.
