Easy to Cut and Bond
Resurrected a comfy pair of slippers. I roughly cut the shape out of the generous material and bonded with Gorilla Glue. Clamped for 24 hours and trimmed the excess. Tough, thick, slip resistant sole. And the natural rubber color looks cool too.

Just what I needed
I put these soles on a pair of Clark's sandals that I used to walk the dog. They're a discontinued model and I like them so I decided to try putting on new soles.I read the reviews and got some Barges cement. DO follow the directions on the cement. The tip about trimming the initial trim of the soles with some extra margin is absolutely necessary. There is NO WAY you can reposition the new sole once it's touched the old sole. LEAVE YOURSELF A MARGIN OF ERROR!The photo is the clamping system. I jerry rigged to let the glue set up for 24 hours. I found it was easiest to do the final trim with a pair of very heavy duty shears which are made for the kitchen to cut through bone.

Not usable for me
Tried with shoe glue, even scored the bottoms of the rubber soles & shoe area. Nothing worked. Had to throw away.

Meh.....
Good enough to hold me over till my new shoes get here. I was hoping to get some more life out of the soles of my shoes but didn't work. I used Shoe Goo (see my other review for this product) and the rubber curled up. I made it work in the end. Not pretty but will hold for now on the slick surfaces I walk on daily until my new shoes arrive.

Can work on one shoe
I use up the left sole faster due to a bad leg. This is a good way to kept the pair in action. The length is a little over 12", just short of the length of my size 12 shoes. Each sole is about 4 oz and you'll need at least another oz of Shoe Goo, which is very much like Goop, E6000, or Gorilla Clear, etc. They all claim to be flexible and permanent. I choose to buy on price per oz. I used DeWalt Quick friction clamps and glued in two sessions Walking feels normal with only one installed. It's not as pretty as a new pair of shoes, but works . I purchased the other slightly smaller soles for comparison. I plan to use the left as a pattern to turn the larger right into another left. The slightly smaller pattern has the advantage of hiding the black sole if it doesn't match the color of the original sole. I have no complaints about extra stiffness or extra weight and they are fsr enough away that few people will ever notice that you are frugal.

Worked great
I love my soft moccasins ... after wearing them for a while, the bottoms toughen up a bit but they aren't watetproof. I purchased these rubber soles, cut them to fit .. then used "shoe goo" to stick them together .. clamped between 2 wooden boards for 24hrs ... now I can run to the mailbox or go back and forth packing the camper without swapping the moccasins for outside shoes. They brush off really easily and grip well without tracking in stones. I plan to buy them again and do this to all my other other soft soled moccasins and slippers!
