UPDATE: Months later and the smell has faded unless your close up on it, but thw samw would happen to kitchen spices if left open for months. I purchased a 4% bottle of lavender oil and reenergized the old buds. Its been months and a few drops of thec100% essential oil I purchased on Amazon by Maple Holistics and its still going strong. This stuff is wonderful. Sorry for those who said there's had no smell. Has heavy lavender aroma. I purchased it to make scent sachet for my shoes. I only did a few but in only a few minutes my closet smelled of lavender. I'm hoping qjen I get all my shoes done, it wont be overwhelming. I will have to do a follow up review to tell you how it lasted. When the aroma does fade because it has a porus woody texture It can be revived with a few drops of lavender oil. Before I started using the measured scoop, I was using my hands and tjey smell amazing. I can't say enough how good this stuff is. I also plan to try some in my candle making projects. Where I will not be using it is in food. I saw pictures in the company add but saw no verbiage of it being food grade. There may not be anything official but if the company would say it in thier description it's food grade, I know it was handled in proper sanitary conditions. I know it was dried properly with no chance of fine mold spores developing. Having a picture of people using it in food, does not mean you should. Either way, for what I need it for it's a great product and purchase.

I put the lavender in cheese towel and closed it off with a rubber band and put it all around my house to make it smell good! It works especially well in my closets.

Fragrance was nowhere near as strong as lavender buds I've purchased direct from farms, but for the price, it was good enough. I'm guessing the scent will fade relatively quickly, but that remains to be seen.

Smells wonderful! You certainly get a good amount for the price. I made ten pouches that had a good amount in them, between 8 to 10 tablespoons per bag and I still have a little more than half the bag left.
