Truform20-30 mmHg Compression Stockings for Men and Women, Knee High Length, Closed Toe, Gray, Medium (8865GR-M)

I've been dealing with chronic venous insufficiency for a number of years. It's progressive, though, and I'm now having to wear compression stockings daily to prevent swelling and stasis ulcers. I've been prescribed custom-made knee highs, but this brand was recommended to me by my local med supply as a good "backup" pair due to my measurements (I'm tall).I'm blown away by how comfortable these are! The quality is excellent and the fit is as close to perfect as one can get without going for custom made compression socks. I use a "sock butler" aid  Mediven Big Butler, for Larger Sizes, MDV90000  to get into my non-zipper socks, and these go on very easily using it. I can usually get them on in less than 10 minutes. They stay up, don't bind at the top, and the toe area is purposely loose-fitting. As long as you get the heel in the right place, you shouldn't have any problems with tight toes.A note about fit: if you are short, be very careful, as these do run a bit long. You would probably do much better ordering the "short" length. I'm 5'8" tall, and I have to be careful getting them on not to stretch them too much going up or I'll end up with excess sock at the top, not a good thing as it then binds around my knee. I've learned, though, to put them on carefully, so I no longer have that problem.That said, these are an amazing value, easily outperforming other similar products that retail for 4 times the cost. I wash mine out by hand each night -- just swish them around in sudsy water (I use a mild soap), then a quick rinse under the faucet, and hang to dry. By morning, they're ready to wear again. I've just ordered two more pairs (another black pair, and a beige pair).Measure carefully, and order the size shown in the chart in the photo above. I really do like these, and can recommend them highly.

I felt the socks were pretty good in quality, however, if you are borderline in sizes go with the smaller size. I got the size recommended however it was a little big. The compression was there but it was big from top to bottom.

Not as snug as others, easy on & off. Need a bit more compression, feel like stretched out. But wearable and comfortable

My Doc told me I had to get this level of support hose after developing numerous blood clots while in hospital for 3 months, flat on my back. I love the toes & heels, a different material, loose not constricting at all. I now have 5-6 pair in different colors!

The color is I would say pretty accurate to the square it gives as a color option. The photos are lighter than the product, but the square is pretty accurate (for the beige ones at least)It asked about sheerness, but these are not sheer...I didn't realize they were supposed to be. They just barely show any skin color under them, so I guess a little bit sheer?They're good though, accurate size, comfortable, etc. My only complaint is that they have a soft top, not a silicone top, but I knew that buying them so it isn't a hit against the product, just something I wish it had.

These were so tight it was difficult to get them m on and off. The material was heavy or thick. Just not right for me.

Work great and are so much cheaper than some of the others.

I have had trouble for 25 years with varicose veins etc, and a blood clot.These stockings have for some reason improved appearance of legs and they are no longer painful.

I bought the lg and they where to big ,so l reordered and got a medium they are fine and the compression is great.l gave 4 star because they are a bit big on my toes.
