Don't release easily
I ordered these "safety breakaway" clasps to make mask lanyards that would not be a choking hazard. They do unclasp with light twisting pressure, but they hold fast with exactly the type of lateral stress that would present a choking hazard if a lanyard became caught on any stationary object and so are useless for making safe mask lanyards.

These are NOT safe for cat collars
These are NOT breakaway or safe. False advertising. The buckle goes in and twists to connect. Any amount of pulling will not allow this collar to break away for safety. I am returning.

There is now way these slide together as shown in the product photos. As far as I can tell either they are defective or just a piece of junk. First time I have ever been disappointed with a product ordered from Amazon!
