LED Light Bulb- 13W BrightBulb LED Lightbulbs A19, High Efficiency, Warm White (13W= 75-100W Traditional, Non-Dimmable)

We bought these bulbs for use under an outdoor awning at a clubhouse for the Izaak Walton League. These are safety/security lights used along a walkway and it's important that this path is well lit. The lights are on a dusk to dawn controller so they are on an average of 12 hours a day or about 4380 hours a year.These bulbs work well but in the 18 months or so since we've installed them, we've had about a 40% failure rate. These bulbs are outside but they aren't exposed to any rain or other kinds of moisture (see the pictures for how we're using them). Because they are outside, they are sometimes exposed to cold weather, below 0F, and moderate warm weather, 90F+. They aren't mounted inside a fixture so heat shouldn't be an issue.Having said that though, I'm giving these bulbs 4 stars because of the great customer service that TheGroupDeal has been giving. Whenever a bulb has gone out, I've emailed the vendor and they have always quickly sent replacement bulbs free of charge. They are standing behind their product and as long as they continue to do so, we will keep using these bulbs. They are nice and bright and do a good job of lighting that walkway and we want to keep using them.I do hope that the vendor can find out why our bulbs are having a higher than expected failure rate in our installation

Review ChangeAgain: Well, the seller tells me that they were having some manufacturing issues and that all the bulbs I purchased that burnt out after a few months were returnable. They actually sent replacements without me having to return the burnt out bulbs, so my review needs to be revised to far more favorable. IF they will last as long as they are supposed to, they are great bulbs. Review change: Lemon after lemon. I have purchased quite a few of these bulbs over time, and I am greatly discouraged at how many of them burn out or simply cease functioning after a few months, which is way short of a lifetime guarantee or the many hours they are advertised to last. They are not returnable after only a few months. I like the idea of saving money on electricity, but at the rate of having to replace these bulbs as often as I do, I think I am paying way more than if I used a different kind of bulb. Original review: These are fantastic bulbs! I hope the price eventually goes down. You don't have to wait for them to get warmed up before they reach full brightness, it is instantaneous.

Although I am pretty satisfied with the build quality and the price of the bulb, it's not as bright as I'd hoped it would be. After making a few comparisons with other types of CFL bulbs using similar wattages and some 75 and 100 watt incandescent bulbs, this bulb definitely trounces the CFL bulbs but I don't really think that the stated equivalent of 75-100 watts is accurate. At least to my incandescent comparisons and eyes. It seems a bit closer to being 60-75 watts equivalent. Some points that I really do like about this bulb are the light quality and the instant-on. Overall, I do like the bulb and the price point, but if you were looking for something in the 100 watt equivalent range like I was, this may not be the bulb for you. Thanks for reading.

Works well, I have 2. In comparison to another mainstream brand available at the big-box home-hardware-stores, this model is slightly more directional (on the top), and there is a noticeable delay in this LED-bulb's start-up. The delay is not too bad, but is noticeable. I would have preferred a more unidirectional beam pattern and less start-up delay, and such features are available in the market, but at twice-the-price. I use these less-expensive models where I needed the directional light in a utility room. I decided against using them in our living room, due to the upward-biased directed beam. The color is comparable to the higher-cost models as well the old soft-white incandescents. Buy one, and try it. If it does meet your expectations, use it in a utility room or closet.

I bought these bulbs for security lights on the porch and they lasted about 2 months maybe. I would pay more for better bulbs as these need to be constantly replaced. UPDATE: THE GROUP DEAL contacted me by email after reading my review and kindly reminded me that these bulbs are guaranteed by them and the two bulbs were replaced the immediately. It is nice to have customer service. Try them as they will be replaced if the die out too quick so you have nothing to loose as the price is nice!

This bulb is super bright. Lights up my entire driveway letting me turn off my halogen Flood light. Only down fall is that it's "flickering" or seeming like it's not getting enough power. After about 5 mins it stops. At first I was thinking cold weather had played a part in it. But lows have only been 40° and up. So I put in a regular 60 watt incandescent bulb and no problems. Great bulb when it gets past the flicker.

Liked the price, warmer color than most LEDs, great lumens and much brighter than the 60 watt incandescence they replaced. But... can't get use to the full 1 second delay for startup. Have them in our house entry way from our garage and that one second plus delay in the dark just is to weird to get use to. My wife is making me find faster starters. I'll move these to somewhere less needing instant ones. Maybe our garage door openers?

Have been using these bulbs for about a month and really like them. Them seem well built and the warm white color is exactly what I was hoping for. Not the stark blue. I am using 6 bulbs outside, all in fixtures with opening at bottom, so they are somewhat covered. 3 are on front of garage and 3 are by doors, under overhangs. No problems so far. I bought these for outdoor use not knowing if they would hold up to weather. Will update as time passes.July 30,2017 update...The bulbs are still working fine after going thru a cycle of seasons in Michigan weather. Very happy with this product!!
