I've waited a long, long time for this volume to be released and I was ecstatic when it came in the mail. Be forewarned; it is part one to a two part story so the second part will probably take some time to be released. Like I said in another view, these mangas are actually very closely based off the novels and don't deter too much from them. As always, D is magnificent. He glows with that ethereal, gothic dark beauty that Kikuchi likes to draw attention on. The characters in his novels, male and female, tend to describe D as gorgeous, which I think is an understatement in D's case. His beauty, inside and out, is beyond the world of the mortals.

Last month (Nov 2015), Digital Manga revealed that the Vampire Hunter D manga series is officially cancelled. This likely comes as no huge surprise, as these books have been constantly delayed since volume 2. However, D fans like myself will be upset to learn that this volume (7) leaves us with only the first part of wonderful "Mysterious Journey to the North Sea" story told, and that volume 8 does indeed exist - both in French and Japanese (a quick eBay search will put you on the right path) but will not see a release on US shores.

Saiko Takaki is definitely an manga artist to look out for. The artwork is very dark and mysterious, yet very appealing. D as always is gorgeous and all powerful, but I'm glad that our heroine is no pushover. I think there were some errors in terms of speech bubbles where lines were swapped (due to the rush to publish, maybe?) and the ending was very abrupt, but I can't wait to see the conclusion of the North Sea saga.

Boyfriend needed it for the last piece in his collection. Came in English which was perfect.

I love creations of the author. I enjoy his books. D is my favorite character and I'm a long time fan. I'm waiting for volume 8.

I wonder when they are going to make vol.8 of the manga cause it is getting good and I hate to pause before the story ends.

A must read for VHD fans. I can't wait for D next adventure, hopefully it'll be soon. I can't get enough.

This comic really suffers from the same problem book it was based on it is really is an introduction to all the major player and set them up for the next book. The reason I rated this one star less than the book is they are many details left out, of the different characters powers and techniques.The story. Wu Lin is sent to sell a strange bead she came into position of. The Shop keeper recognises its connection to the Nobility (Vampires who ruled over earth). He tell the local mob kingpin who to acquire this bead torchers and kill Wu Lin then sends his more powerful enforcers to retrieve the bead. D stumbles on to her last word and wish for the Bead to be taken back to her Sister Su Lin. Su Lin's home town seem to be living in the shadow of a noble, (the town secret) this pipes D's curiosity to stay in town and help. Good book but I am really waiting for the next volume.

Un excelente manga, basado obviamente en la novela, lamentablemente no está la continuación ni en inglés ni español a manera de manga solo está el libro y el cual también adquirí para poder terminar la historia, espero que algún día lo tengamos en español porque el inglés que maneja es un poco rebuscado y tengo que ir a cada rato al diccionario, jaja nada que no se pueda hacer claro está (not an stupid for english either), pero no hay como la lengua materna.
