Great quality - used twice with a year in between.
Used for two different heat pump installations: a 18000 Btu and a 6000 Btu and it vacuumed both efficiently - one year apart. So it was still working great after a year in storage. I replaced the vacuum oil after that year - as recommended by the manual. Replacing the oil involves running it for about 15 mins to warm up and loosen the oil, then a hex screw to the front (have something to catch it ready underneath). The hoses and gauges worked for a nitrogen 300psi pressure test as well. Everything seems good quality - and held up to storage for a year in between uses. Would definitely recommend! If you plan on using the gauges for a pressure test, just keep in mind that some newer heat pumps recommend pressure testing at about 500psi which is beyond the accurate range of this gauge.

Great for DIY
Worked perfectly, saved a lot of money doing this myself.

Good product.
Product worked as it should. Pump hoses came with connections to fit the minisplit AC I was working on. Nice bag to hold all the product parts for storage. Worth the cost.

No great quality control, but got the job done
I was concerned when buying this kit due to the negative comments. Especially, the comments where people had problems pulling a 30 HG vacuum, suggesting the pump was not powerful enough. After a bit of research, I decided that the pump should be able to pull the required vacuum, so I gave it a go. When setting up the system, I realized two quality control issues. First, the high-side (red) hose was missing it's rubber insert. I found that out the hard way, by watching the system leak down to zero after pulling a vacuum. Fortunately, the kit came with 3 extra inserts, which fixed that problem. Second, the can-tap fitting has different threads than the yellow hose. You literally cannot connect the hose to the can-tap fitting. That crisis was averted as the kit comes with a few extra fittings that can serve as adapters, but they have Schrader valves in them (I think they are for systems with a different refrigerant type). I removed the Schrader valve from one of them and used it as an adapter -- it worked (I think someone put the wrong can-tap valve in the box). I was able to pull a vacuum without issue. Within 60 seconds, or so, I was at 29 to 30 HG. After letting the system sit, confirming no leaks, I ran the pump for 45 minutes to extract any moisture. The pump did great and held the system at 29-30 HG (for those who want to know, my location was at 750' altitude, 50 degrees F, 51% humidity, and 30.22 HG air pressure). The pump smoked a little at the start, but ran clean after that. I was successful in doing a full recharge. Even though there were quality control issues, I still gave this product 5 stars as the price was fantastic considering the tool's purpose, it was easy to use, and it was able to get the job done.

Best kit very affordable and easy to work with
Already replaced a leaking service valve on my 07 avalanche on the high side line, vacuum pump works good went down to 30 in no time and left it running for about an hour to get all the moisture and recharge ac system the only thing you would need is the self tapping valve 10 dollars and that’s it,everything else is in the kit, don’t know how much I save but for 140 dlls is a great deal

Love this kit. Has everything you need!
I love this set. I used it to install a small mini split and it has everything you need. Perfect! The service port adaptor that came with this ended up leaking and I switched it out with another one I had but even still, I absolutely love this kit. Having all the stuff you need all in one affordable package is amazing.

Really? Why include a can tap that pierces when all small R134 cans now are self seal!
I had high hopes for this kit when I unboxed. Looked like a solid DIY vacuum pump and all the hoses were stout and looked good. The manifold is billet aluminum and the gauges are easy to read. I got everything assembled, then hooked it up to pull a vacuum and it worked brilliantly. Was quick and easy. When it came to filling the system with refrigerant and PAG oil, that's when things were NOT good. Let me explain below. If you are a first timer doing any type of AC recharge with this kit, be forewarned! Make sure to watch plenty of YouTube tutorials, just make sure that the tutorials were made after 2018!!! But wait, it's 2024 and the kit includes a bloody piercing type can tap! What? You can't even buy in the United States R134 in the small cans that are the piercing type! The EPA regulated and mandated that all small R134 cans be self sealing. So why include a can tap that pierces? SMH! Luckily, I had an adaptor to make it work, otherwise I would have been in search of a different can tap that works with self sealing cans. Beyond that, the instructions are abysmal! I mean REALLY bad. In fact, why did this company even waste the paper printing what they did? So before you purchase, YOU WILL NEED TO PURCHASE SEPARATELY A CAN TAP THAT WORKS WITH SELF SEALING CANS OF R134. I think if you have the correct can tap, everything could go smoothly. Luckily, I had one of those blue plastic R134 can adapters so I could recharge my kid's AC system on her 2015 Ford Escape.

After using this product about a dozen times on various vehicles, certain parts started to fail. 1st the high pressure quick coupler seals leaked. Then the low side shortly afterwards. The R134a can adapter was next, not allowing refrigerant to flow freely, then the brass T fitting cracked and leaked slightly. Finally both gauges became inaccurate and unreliable. The only parts still working properly is the vacuum pump and hoses. Gave product 2 stars because of this.

I tried to change pump and condenser without a vacuum pump. Worked for about 15 mins, then vapor locked. Put on the pump and ran it 2 hours, had air since. What's not to like?
