A great modelling tool plus update
I purchased the Badger Krome after reading several reviews on youtube and other modelling sites. I primarily do 1/35th scale armor and have been using a Badger Patriot 105 for the last 2 1/2 years. I was intrigued by the Krome's two smaller needle sizes and the trigger limiting device. My Patriot is a fine airbrush, but I had difficulties with panel shading and fading with it's .5 needle size. I found the Krome to be a great solution for those issues as well as weathering. I use the .33 needle principly as the .21 can be finicky with acrylics and tip dry. I get great results and have learned a lot of the last few months to improve my skills. My trigger skills are better, but it is nice to have the rear limiter as insurance against the dreaded SPLAT.The Krome is longer and a tad heavier than my Patriot, but is well balanced and has a smooth trigger pull. I mostly use Tamiya acrylics and Model Master enamels and get excellent finishes using a 1:1 ratio of paint and thinner. Proper ratios and mixing are a little more critical with these smaller needles, but the Krome is very forgiving in this matter. Fit and finish are excellent and like my Patriot, the Krome is a breeze to clean between colors and after a session. Both needles require care when being inserted after cleaning, but not a chore. Parts are reasonably priced and readily available. The Krome is a great airbrush to upgrade to for a scale modeller looking for quality and versatility at a reasonable price.UPDATE: Having used my Krome for about a year now, it is still my go to airbrush and does excellent work. My brush requires careful cleaning of the needle and the sleeve it slides through between sessions. If not, there is sufficent friction to overcome the trigger spring causing the needle to stick in place. I wipe the needle clean with lacquer thinner and lube it prior to any painting session. This is a quirk that my Badger Sotar, Patriot, Patriot 2XR, and Anthem do not have.

Great for detail work on anything.
Comes with 2 needle sizes. The smaller is unbelievably accurate and perfect for 3D print finishing as well as automotive touch up and anything else needing small detail work

and couldn't be happier. I use an airbrush almost exclusively for 40k
Update 12/10/2017: The airbrush has still been performing like an absolute champ, however the plated finish has begun to come off. I’m not sure why- the brush is stored in its case when not in use. I have attached an image. I’m taking it down to 4 stars as so far this problem has only been cosmetic.I've had this brush now for a month or two, and couldn't be happier.I use an airbrush almost exclusively for 40k, and the Renegade has been an amazing step up.For the past few years, I've been mostly using the Masters G-series, and while they're good, solid workhorses there are little issues that would always crop up. For example, you'd constantly need to clean the needle tube between the pot and the venturi, it had a lip that was notorious for catching paint and eventually building up forming a seal around the needle. They are cheap and disposable, however for the most part are only really good for basing.A while back I had picked up a Patriot 105 and it was horrible- even with a .02 tip and 15psi it was spraying at a crazy rate. Right after it started to bubble around the nozzle and while I could have returned it for another (Badger is well known for its customer service) I just let it go.On to this brush- it's simply amazing. First the case it comes in is very solid, it's good for if I need to take the brush to the FLGS or just want to store it more securely. The brush itself has a grip like the 105 and takes some getting used to, however I tend to use the adapter with a couple fingers while using my middle/thumb to control the angle. Speaking of the adapter, finally Badger started to ship their brushes with it, so no worrying to spend an additional $8 or so.The trigger pull and response is so smooth, you have a steady increase as you pull back- with cheaper brushes I've found that it sorta goes light-light-light-omg heavy instead of a steady increase. Not with this. The trigger top is large and round, I don't find myself constantly adjusting my finger like I did with the Masters brushes.Cleaning is a breeze, the pot has steeper sides than I'm used to, and there's a set round chamber at the bottom. Pulling the needle you're able to get into the entire pot- with the Masters brushes there is a cavity towards the trigger that often is hard to get to.Some notes, not bad but caution:- The new nozzle design has a very small tip and it's easy to lose. Make sure you take the time to change them over a table or even a bowl to prevent them from dropping and disappearing.- There are two tips, one is a fork design that protects the needle. I tend to prefer this one, just due to my habit of putting the brush in a cleaning pot instead of on a rack. Keep an eye on the fork top however, if your paint is somewhat thin it can build on one of the fork tongs and eventually give you some splatter/webbing. You just need to wipe it off every now and then. The second tip isn't really even a tip. It just leaves the needle pretty much open. It is fantastic to handle dry tip, however you need to be stupid careful because it'll be really easy to bend the needle.

Decent.
When I first opened the box and held the airbrush it felt a little light and cheap compared to say a very popular Japanese brand that starts with I. So I prepared myself to be disappointed but then I used the krome airbrush and I was shocked how well it worked and felt to use. It's a real joy to airbrush when everything lines up and works the way it's supposed to, it works really well and would definitely buy it again. One thing I modded was to file down the two prongs on the cap so it's just the needle and a little bit of the nozzle sticking out making it very easy to clean and reducing the ability to splatter from buildup of paint. Great airbrush.

Quality product. I had no need to refine it or tweak it at all. This is a high end brush for pro's but any beginner would benefit from this as well.

Incredible
Take this with a grain of salt, this is my first airbrush that isn't a cheap knockoff. But this incredible, cleans easy, smooth and doesn't clog easily, consistent flow.I'm sure there are better and more expensive but this was worth every cent to me

Essentially another sotar with bigger paint cup
This airbrush is of good quality as expected from Badger. And the internal part is interchangeable with sotar. The only problem that i have is the regulator (cover thingy) with the fine conversion. It doesn't screw on the body so well, so the nozzle is behind the opening, which prevents paint from spraying out. It is an easy fix with another same sized regulator.
