Fits 2019 Ranger well - a "no drill" install is a plus
I have installed many hood protectors over the years without really reading directions, but on this one you should or read what I learned in my review.I chose the low profile version as all I really want this to do is protect the leading edge of my hood from stone chips. If not installed correctly, it will fit a little loose (learn from my mistake), so here is what the directions are really trying to tell you and I also provided a sketch to eliminate any confusion:The underside of the ranger hood has a rubber/foam gasket. The first pic is of the completed install. Gasket is held in place with a number of short pins. You do not need to remove the gasket or all the pins - just pull the pins (with pin removal tool or needle nose pliars tip and pry up) on the locations where the hood protector mount holes line up.Of the provided hardware, which is all plastic, the retaining screw inserts go in first, and DO NOT pass through the holes in the OEM gasket nor the holes in the hood protector mounting tabs. As they likely to fall out from gravity, after you insert one, move the gasket back over it, then locate your hood protector mounting tab over that insert, and under the gasket. Now you can insert/screw in the plastic phillips head screw to keep everything in place. I did the install by myself, but dropped a couple inserts along the way trying to keep things aligned. As for the clear rubber bumpers to keep the back side of the hood protector from rubbing on the outside of the hood, I did not use them. By the time this low profile protector flexes enough to touch the top side of the hood, it will have already broken long before. It is rigid enough to not be needed.I drove 80-85mph at times on the highway for 300 miles after install - no issues.

Great fit Sturdy
Product fit great on 2022 Ford Ranger does not contact or rub on the paint and is very sturdy and doesn’t flex in the wind. All the mounting holes matched out properly.

Fits the 2023 Ranger - Inspect the pre-drilled holes
::The good::Fits a 2023 ranger, and easy 15 minute install so long as you don't strip one of the cheap plastic screws.::The bad::1. Fair warning, there's clearly some of these have pilot holes were drilled poorly and the 1st one I had the far-right hole / anchor point sitting with about 1/10th of an inch of plastic before the pin could go about snapping right out from it. After I returned the that first one the exchange had all of the pre-drilled holes with at least a 1/2 inch or more of material around them.2. They give you the _exact_ quantity of flimsy plastic screws for the pins. If you strip or break one of these you're hosed-- follow the rubber band suggestion and get the centers in first, corners second, and area in-between last just in case. I ended up stripping a corner screw and lucked out with a bit of pressure and a needle nose to twist it in the rest of the way.::Only tip I didn't see here::The plastic screws will start to pop back out about 3/4 of the way when tightening the pins in, they WILL screw in flush-- but requires pressure. This is how #2 may burn you. I highly suggest using a rubber band between your Phillips and the screw.

Low profile hood protector!
1st, AVS misboxed my 1st order! Whomever boxed mine transposed numbers around, and I got one for a 2008 Santa Fe, which is very similar! Amazon made it right! PLEASE follow Mr. Fixit instructions(1st post), except place a piece of scotch tape over the retainer that goes into the hood. Then poke the hole through it so you can insert the plastic screw for the install. BTW, holes on the deflector lined up perfectly! Also, by all means place a couple of LARGE bath towels or a sheet over the front and over the engine! YOU WILL drop a screw!! When that happens, it's GONE! ONE more piece of advice, I LOVE my wife, but maybe she isn't the best partner on these type of projects! Consider another another helper! The low profile shield covers the front of the hood perfectly and isn't seen from the drivers seat! Finally, I have a J7 magnetic Ranger and like everyone else's, it looks GREAT! I highly recommend this shield to protect the front of the hood! It fits fine and I didn't need to readjust the hood latch, mine closes with no additional effort.Great value for the money!

Super happy. Extremely high quality!
This is high quality and easy and quick to install. The material is incredibly strong. They are rock solid when driving on highways. I have always used bug deflectors on my trucks. It’s been a while since installing my last one. Wasn’t sure how this one actually attached to hood. YouTube showed using double sided tape. Not the case for these. They are attached directly to under side of hood with supplied pop rivets. Super strong. Highly recommended them as top of the line bug and stone deflector.

cheap hardware and quality control
Plastic screws were cheap and did not fit the Ford Ranger holes. Will have to find some better nylon screws at the hardware store. One hole was not even drilled in the bug shield from the factory, so will have to line that up and try to drill myself.

Very happy with look!
Just finished installing Hoodflector on my 2022 Ranger, everything lined up perfectly, plastic screws not so hot but they all worked. Very Happy . Would have been nice to have a brief how to install instruction included.
