It went together easily and seems sturdy and a good size for my purposes. I got it to help catch the birds who fly into my screen porch and then cannot find the door out. It came in a timely manner and was well packed. The only thing I noticed worth mentioning is that it came with a small dent in the metal hoop, but I don't see that it will impact its durability. The hoop is broken down and packed in a bubble wrap plastic bag so I'm sure nobody even noticed it before shipping it to me.

Sturdy, fine mesh net and the adjustable handle works well. Long enough net to flip it sideways and keep the bugs alive and unharmed. I plan to use it to look for insects adjacent to trout streams in order to "match the hatch" while fly fishing. Looks like it could work in the water as well to sample nymphs.

The net lives up to expectations. I like how sturdy the metal is. The handle easily adjusts to allow for a fast extension. There are also net replacements that you can purchase but I have not needed them yet.

I worked in bird rehab for a number of years and last year a friend of mine had a nest of baby starlings that she gave me to raise which I did. I had them in my chicken coop as they were already fully feathered and just needed to be taught how to feed themselves. Occasionally one would hide in a corner and I would have to catch it to force feed it. As I mentioned this net was a bit too big for my purpose and a smaller net would have been perfect but this came in handy when another bird got stuck on my screened in porch and I was able to catch it. I also caught a flying squirrel in the net that somehow got into our house. It would probably work for catching a regular squirrel that happens to get in your house. A study net with a bigger than necessary handle but it is well made and can come in handy.

wow! my 17 year old who will be going to college to go after a degree in working in Nature, especially bugs, loves this net. He bought a different one before which fell apart trying to massemble it. This one is strong and will last for a several years.

I've been using it during the spring/summer season for 3 years (start of 3rd year now, 2025). The net ring finally broke from the rivet, but for now I was able to get it working again with some duct tape. I have been using it to capture and kill Cicada killer wasps and ground bees. This is a very harsh use. I bring the net over to pavement and stomp on them. I didn't think the netting would survive very long doing that, but it has. Just make sure it is on a smooth surface, no pebbles or rocks.I came back here just checking if it was still available, because I don't know how long the duct tape fix will last and there are a few spots where the netting is starting to show some small tears.The telescoping wand is always used at full extension. I think the only benefit here is for a smaller shipping size. It might come apart after some hard sessions, but just loosen the ring at the joint, put it back in and retighten.

But this broke too the ring is weak. You have to be careful with it. It doesn't qualify for heavy duty

Got it for my partners baby brother for Christmas (secret santa) and it was PERFECT. The kid runs through nets for bug and lizard catching faster than an athlete in the Olympics. This net is SUPER durable and it's height is adjustable too. Kid loves his present and we are so happy to not be replacing his net any time soon
