See photo and review - sizes in Zoic shorts have no relation to waist size in inches (at least for Mens L)
I have to rate this size 'large' a low star rating because it is nowhere close to a size L and a full 6 inches smaller at the waist than the size L Zoic Revelry, and the belt with it does not match its own waist stretch limits.I purchased in size mens L:Black MarketEtherEther LTRevelrySee photo.NONE of them are the same size waist even though ALL of them are mens size L. All of them have elastic bands in them of one size or another, but it does not work out to fix the problem as the largest L (Revelry) get bunched up when pulled tight enough for me, while at the other end of the spectrum the Black Markets are so tight that they are not possible to tolerate.Every short in mens L:36 inch waist - Revelry34 inch waist - Ether LT32.5 inch waist Ether30 inch waist Black MarketThe waist size for size L Revelry is 36 inches, Black Market size L is 30 inches! This is absolutely absurd! Please see the attached photo. The left edges are lines up, they are all flat with no stretching.Specifically for this short (Black Market) what makes it even worse is that the waist is 30 inches but it comes with an integrated belt that is nearly 40 inches long! A 30 inch waist and a 40 inch integrated belt!Aside from all of that for these (Black Market) shorts the non-zipper pockets puff open and are not at a good angle. The non-zipper pockets on the Ether and Ether LT are perfect position.I can't say what the actual waist measurements are for the other sizes. Who knows!

They're not bad, but, not great.
When I ordered these, I did so as I thought they would be the same material quality as some of my Oakley/Pearl Izumi shorts. Sadly, they are not... these almost feel like swim trunks (the material anyway). Not sure they'd hold up during the long-haul with OTB and having the bike kick you off. If your a cross-county person, these are probably perfect for you, but, if you like a little more aggressive riding and pay the price of meeting Terra-Firma every now and again and need something more durable, be careful with these. The liner inside is OK (material doesn't seem as thick as my other/better liners and didn't seem to offer nearly the same compression - my Oakley/Izumi shorts offer great compression, which I like for long rides). And, the liner is not held in as I would have liked... my other shorts (with removable liners) are fastened in with four or five buttoms mounted directly to the waistline, but, this liner is "held" inside the shorts with two tiny little buttons that fasten to the waistline via 2 tine little lanyard straps... somewhat cumbersome to put on (compared to my Oakleys).I know these are somewhat small issues, but, for the standard price of these ($80+) and the comparison to higher-end shorts, I was dissapointed... now, if you get these in the $50-$60 range I would say these are great for the price, but, if you pay retail for these ($80+), save a little more and buy others.PS: I like my shorts a little on the baggy side. I have a 34 inch waist with an athletic build... I ordered XL and the waist felt fine, but, the legs didn't leave me with a lot of room to move... somewhat form fitting for me.

they are stylish and comfortable. Plenty of zippered pockets
I don't have much to compare these to but, they are stylish and comfortable. Plenty of zippered pockets. For the price a great value, liner shorts have padding and are simple to remove. I would have preferred a snap or something other than a square of velcro atop the zipper but with the belt everything has held well over the last couple rides. I would tend to say sizing runs true or on the smaller end of true. I typically wear a 32 waist and ordered large and they fit good but would not recommend a smaller size. Will be ordering another pair!

I Want Every Color!!!
Awesome MTB shorts!! I'm 5'10'' 175lbs. with an athletic build and ordered the large. They fit good, but, I think the mediums would fit me well also. I was a little skeptical on ordering the mediums because I really hate returning items over the mail. I really like the features, being able to separate the spandex shorts, the belt and the endless pockets. I have purchased three thus far. Eventually I will have every color.

Best MTB short ever!
Fox Racing eat your heart out. These shorts are amazing. Way more style than any other short I've seen and they perform awesome. I bought a large I'm 6'3" weight 180 lbs. and have 33" waist, the fit was perfect.
