Excel 2016 All-in-One For Dummies

The writing is clear and readable. The indexing and organization makes the contents useful.I bought this as a guide to Excel generally, and not specifically for any particular version. Because this is obsolete, the price was right. I'm glad I bought, because every time I need help, I find it in these pages.

These days of course you can Google almost everything about Excel but it's always nice to have a hard copy like this around just in case I need something quick. A lot of these tips and tricks I already knew but some were more advanced and helpful. The new version of excel is pretty close to this so I think you should still be okay if you get this book.

My organization is currently using Excel 2016 and I needed to sharpen my skills in order to be competitive for promotion. This book has so much to offer and I am looking forward to learning some new ways to manage data.

So far this book in the electronic form has been excellent at helping me develop my excel skills in lookups and pivot tables. If you read the text carefully and examine the figures, the answers become obvious. You must practice on a computer everything you read in the text. When you have a problem, you check back to the book and find the issue or error you made. I also previously used the ECEL 2016 Companion by Joe Thompson as the first book to get me off the ground in Excel again.

Starts out with super basic like how to open a spreadsheet and format. Ends up at recording macros and writing/editing Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).I needed help with learning how to use and write macros and this book gave me what I needed.There is a lot of information on keyboard shortcuts and tips and tricks too. If you need to work with Excel this book has a lot of information packed in it.

I have given this a five star as I am sure it delivers what we need, however, I am at the beginning of my journey and have only just received this book and not actually gotten past the intro. My question to anyone who will answer: Does this book apply to a MacBook Pro? Does the book equally divide between the two formats? Thank you in advance for your answers. ELD

I like the clarity of the wording , not that people are dummies i an never thrilled with the title of these books. I do like the way they explain things in a language that is easier to understand what i am looking for and how to solve my problems.

Excellent book! I have experience with Excel 2007 and just wanted the book to brush up. They like to change things around - Same out come just have to look in different places now, Right? I just received the book and thumbed through it quickly. Great illustrations. I Love the :For Dummies" books. Good Price. I also bought a few cheat sheets, Excel, Word, Power Point and Microsoft Office. You can never have to much info!

Small fonts in black and white, is going to give you headache.I read couple chapters, then decided to go with another book.
