The Little Instruction Book for Grandparents: Tongue-in-Cheek Advice for Surviving Grandparenthood

The people I gifted it with were thrilled. They said it was funny but had good advice!!

I really wish the author would have chosen to do more of a "sneak peek" inside this book to give a better idea what sort of content was included. I was looking for a cute gift to announce my pregnancy to my in-laws, and the advertising (the photos and phrases were more on the funny side of things, vs serious/heartfelt) made it seem like this would fit the bill. In my opinion, the cover phrase/rollercoaster page that was included in the previews were the funniest pages to me. The others were dry and just not what I was hoping for.There are a handful of UK English references that I don't relate to (nappies instead of diapers, biscuits instead of cookies, etc) which would be fine but not without more context. The phrases/sayings are very short so those pages went a bit over my head.Most of my reasons for star deductions aren't an issue with the book specifically - but I just wish the advertising was more accurate so I had better idea what was included in the book before making the decision to purchase. I don't feel like I was the right customer base for this book, and after seeing it in person - this is not the cute/funny way I had pictured breaking the news to my family.

I purchased the Look as a gift for some new grandparents. They loved it and had many laughs.

This book is for first 5 years of baby’s life, which I had one for my children years ago, so got this one for my brother and wife. Its lovely
