I picked this one because of the cloth cover and wide hook-and-loop fastener.My thinking is that the cloth cover will protect the foam and increase the duration and lifespan of the pad.My thinking on the wide fastener is that it will be less likely to snag versus many with a narrow strap.All in all, I think it will do the job well and feel I made the best choice.BT recommended

Very comfortable and durable makes my work outs so much more comfortable.

I used to squat low bar exclusively, but needed to switch to high bar due to some neck issues making my shoulders hurt. The little 1" shift between low and high bar took away the shoulder pain, but the bar was then pressing directly on the spot where my neck hurts.I bought the pad without much hope of it working, but it does exactly what I need. I'm back to maxing out my high bar squat and tearing up my knees! Couldn't be happier.As far as low bar squats, I don't recommend using the pad. The friction between shirt, skin and bar is necessary for proper bar positioning. Without it, the bar is just resting on your hands pressing down on your shoulders.
