Great Idea / Poor Execution - NOT UV PROOF
I love the concept and it's an incredibly handy piece of gear to have on our vehicle. I really want to love this product but there are a couple things that make it fall short:1. It is a nightmare to install or adjust. You'd think they'd make it as simple as a regular school backpack but just beefier but no, it will drive you nuts. You can't just pull on a strap to tighten it, and lift up on the buckle to loosen it like any other bag in the history of bags that uses plastic buckles. You will struggle with it forever on your first install and no directions come with the Trasharoo. If you have a swing out tire carrier it will make your life a little easier but if you don't (like me) then it is a real challenge. I'm pretty handy and fix most things myself and build a lot of stuff but the Trasharoo was no picnic, and I've heard similar things from all the other guys in my 4x4 group.2. It's not durable enough. If you're just putting this on your Mall Crawler and driving around on asphalt it will probably be fine. But I have mine on a vehicle that only gets used offroad. After 15,000 miles in about 1.5 years the Trasharoo is riddled with holes and wear from rubbing up against the spare tire on the trails even though I have it very tight and secure against the spare tire. I even have an extra strap going around the bottom of the tire to help keep it tight. It is also not UV protected and has faded considerably in the AZ sun.****UPDATE**** The trasharoo died in June 2018 which was 21 months of only weekend / adventure use on a vehicle parked in a garage the rest of the time. The AZ sun destroyed the black fabric, it turned chalky white and the slightest touch caused it to tear. Interestingly, the nylon webbing remains black and unaffected. What’s the loint of a bag meant to go on your vehicle... which goes outside...in the sun, that’s not made out of UV proof material? I know that no fabric can last forever in the sun but 21 months with being indoors most of the time is a let down.I’ve added an updated picture.

No Durability At All
Really bummed out a out this product. I recieved it and threw it in my truck, happy that I could now lug my trash & other items outside my truck.I tossed in a wrapped bundle of firewood before heading out camping. After arriving to my spot, I looked inside the trasharoo to see 5+ holes made.Final thoughts? Durability is horrible. The fact there were holes in it within 2 hours of putting it on sucks. I would blame the firewood, but I shrink wrapped it so that no edges would be digging in....The material of the bag is simply not strong enough.I would be happy to update my review if another one was sent. But hey, it looks cool and functions well if you’re OK with having a hole or two in it lol.

Do NOT buy black!
Awesome product and made well, just beware that the black will fade to purple within two weeks of being on the vehicle. As for the tan, the straps are thicker and it does not fade.

Fades quick and rips after a year in the sun, but haven't found anything better
I have my Trasharoo permanently strapped to a spare tire that sits in the sun all day every day. I use it daily to store dog poop bags in the mesh pockets, 1-2 times a week to transport up to a 13-gallon trash bag, and for miscellaneous trash like collapsed cardboard boxes.Buy the tan color; they all fade, but on the tan the fading doesn't look bad. If that doesn't look good on your car, you're out of luck. After about 11 months of UV damage, a small amount of weight in the flap pocket caused the bag to rip near both straps. However, by luck I'm still within my 1 year warranty, and I'm hoping to get a no-cost replacement. (Update: got it, except they only had green.)Summary: Expect 1-2 years of daily use out of your $50. Whether that's good value for money is up to you.

A crack, and a Heartbreak.
Man oh man, I was really excited about this. I love bags. I love my Jeep. I was stoked to give my jeep it's own bag. It showed up wicked fast, and the packaging was awesome.I put the straps around my tire and clipped them firmly. Then I began to tighten the straps and that's exactly the point where my heart broke. The clips that hold the straps around the tire broke! Snapped right off, leaving me with a lopsided useless canvas bag.A sadness has enveloped my heart today. Good luck friends. Trasharoo... you have scorned me.

Good for keeping trash out of the inside of your ...
Well made product, I don't have a spare tire mount on my truck so it straps to my tailgate. Good for keeping trash out of the inside of your vehicle and clears up space in the bed.

Is NOT UV resistant / big pain to install
15 months after purchasing this generation1 Trasharoo it is now beyond being serviceable and has been thrown away. The fabric at the top, near where the straps are sewn on became so brittle that it just turned to dust when touched or tugged on slightly. The first 6 months I owned it I took it off and stored it after each use. Because of the EXTREME difficulty in putting this bag on I have kept it on 24/7 for the past 9 months and it has been in the weather constantly (no garage). I believe the damage to be UV damage which is hard to believe living in Puget Sound Washington, as the sun just doesn't shine that much. The bag has never carried anywhere close to it's maximum load rating of 40 pounds, as I used it for it's primary purpose of hauling my trash out of the wilderness. The fitment of the Trasharoo is always a struggle. It is extremely difficult to put on, and requires constant adjustment. The heavy shaking and bouncing of traveling off road causes the retaining straps to rotate the bag down. This not only looks terrible, but interferes with a vehicle's rear proximity warning sensors causing them to go off non-stop when in reverse and no obstacle to your rear to cause it other than the low hanging bag.Seeing the handwriting on the wall some time ago, I purchased the generation 2 Trasharoo hoping that improvements had been made. I was sadly disappointed. The new bag mounting system is exactly the same, and the bag is so much larger that it looks ridiculous on the back of a 34" tire. Thankfully, I was able to sell that one at a discount. That's it. There are other bags out there, notably from Australia and South Africa, and I would highly recommend that you purchase one of them instead.

Don’t know what I would do without it
Best thing on my Jeep. Use it to pack gear and bring garbage out of the trail. It literally has endless uses. Holds up fantastic, easy to clean. If you’re considering buying one, consider no longer.

Trasheroo is the best option - Everyone in 4wd community seems to know about them
Good mounting system - I’ve been using for extra capacity for larger lightweight items all summer but will use it for carrying out waste from camping in the future. I just pressure wash it when I get home and it dries quickly. 5 trips so far and hardly any wear.

Get it, don't think twice
As advertised! Strap it to your wheel, your tailgate or wear it as a GIANT backpack and make people laugh.Honestly though, great extra storage to have. Don't forget a rope for the multi-day trips if you don't want wildlife hanging out by your vehicle.

Perfect for the Campiong Family
This was a Christmas gift for our son-in-law who has a holiday trailer and family who enjoy camping. He was very pleasantly surprised to receive this versatile and on point gift for Christmas.
