Used in a V6 2000 mustang. Had to grind down the tabs a tiny bit and the pully is a little bit smaller. Otherwise it's working fine.

I know more than when I purchased this alternator a few years back, but it's doing it's job. My brothers 2000 Ford Mustang V6 was having starting problems. Mostly during the winter. Car would sometimes take a while to fire up, it would crank and eventually start. Thought it was the battery. Replaced and same thing eventually started to happen again. Figured battery kept dying due to the alternator poorly charging. I really should've had it diagnosed, but meh, didn't want me or my brother to spend the money, and the alternator was OEM (20+ years old) anyways, so I figured it was worth the shot--if it didn't fix the issue, it was probably due anyways.So I surfed the web and decided to give this alternator a shot. Out of the box it looks great. Pulley is nice. Connector is good. Seems like a great replacement. Easy installation. Fired right up, no odd noises. Since replacement, no issues. Will update if it fails.

Perfect fit for my 2000 mustang convertible. The pulley is a smaller diameter. I did not swap it out and used the same belt and it has worked great. It also helped resolve the parasitic loss which I could not figure out. I waited to write the review to make sure this problem was resolved. I have left the car up to 5 days without starting and starts right up. Before this 2 days and the battery would be dead. Great product. 15 minutes to install and problem gone.

Alternator came well packaged and included test results from manufacturing. Very solid well built unit. This alternator is holding at 14.40v at idle with nothing on. With all accessorizes on it holds 14.02v at idle. Massive improvement over old alternator. If you are upgrading to the 3G alternator for your old Mustang this is a great unit to use. Just make sure you notch out the bracket as this unit is slightly bigger and get the upgraded wiring to handle the additional power. You can't go wrong at this price point.

Lowest price, fast shipping got what I paid for. Works so far but still smoking off fresh paint and chirps like a jetsens car sound. My original alternator went 220k miles, time will tell with this 1. Right away more power was noticeable. Tested on multimeter normal good readings

Ordered this for my 1999 mustang. Installed it quickly! Within a month i started hearing squeeling coming underneath the hood. I found out that the new alternator had a bad bearing so I contacted the seller and they sent me a replacement one right away as long as I sent the bad one back to them. Once I got the new one, it worked fine since! Great and fast customer service!

I bought this alternator and installed it after the return window by 1 month. The alternator worked for 2 days, about 5 hours of run time. Then it started overcharging and cooked.Now I cant get any warranty from them, or help from amazon. Normally amazon is amazing with customer service but this is a nightmare. Looks like it is a total loss. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Maybe you get a good one like some other people have, or maybe you get a bad one that you are stuck with. At this price its not worth the risk. just spend a few bucks more and get a good quality alternator so you arent stranded. Or burn your wire harness from overcharging.

It let me stranded as it was only running at 11 amps

Got it installed and it was acting weird. Took and and had it checked, was told it had lost a phase. Amazon wont let me return it so now im paying to have my brand new altenator rebuild...
