Just perfect for that application. The only thing not included is the round felt pad. These are pads used on chair feet on tile or wood floors.(uxcell 60pcs Furniture Pads Round 1 1/4" Self Adhesive Self-stick Anti-slip Anti-scratch Felt Pads Floor Protector Beige).It's use in this application is to protect the magnet on the inner frame. You'll need to cut or punch a hole in the felt pad to fit around the magnet. This does two things...protects the magnet because it is a sintered ceramic material and will shatter if struck hard and also provides a semi soft close feature. The felt pad has adhesive on the back so you just stick it on the frame over the magnet. The other image is self explanatory as concerns the retract mechanism. Both the inside box and door hook plate are mounted adhesively with pre-applied mounting tape. Just clean the mount area with some alcohol then just peel and stick the units in place. The wire rope has two small hex collets already mounted. The small allen key is used to adjust the collet locked loop on the left of the image. I drilled a very small hole in the door mount plastic hook and inserted an equally small wood screw to adequately capture the loop so it wouldn't come off the hook.Works great in this application. Early in the use cycle but will update if anything breaks.

I initially wanted these to close the french door from my house to the 3-season porch. I positioned it so that it would almost latch the door but hold it in a slightly ajar position. This was perfect to allow my pets to freely enter and exit with a nudge but still keep air-conditioning bill in check. I ordered extra units and I'm thinking of using them to mount retractable tools on my work bench. I see the potential for many creative uses.

Definitely a good value for the money good design easy to replace lightweight good spring strength not a very high-end product but good value for the money

Es demasiado fuerte la tensión, lo quería usar en unas puertas de madera y las cerraba muy rápido y fuerte que las puertas se golpeaban, más que esto podría haber ocasionado que alguien se golpee sin querer.Si lo que quieran cerrar automáticamente es pesado, probablemente les sirva.

I purchased to close a heavy door as my dogs return from the potty. It works as advertised and I now have them on several other doors.

I wanted these to work and in theory they should have been perfect. Easy to install, good tension (not too strong that the door slams but good enough to discourage our dogs from getting in). Unfortunately the adhesive just doesn't last under that amount of tension. About 2-3 uses and they pop right off. Thankfully they didn't damage the paint.

Does exactly what they are supposed to do. My husband leaves the half bathroom door open all the time and it drives me nuts so I bought these and now, no more open door! Would definitely recommend.

String on a spring, I was expecting this device to close slowly but it is no more than a string on a sprain so if you’re expecting it not to slam shot or two retract at a slower speed it will not recommendations to Seller it shouldn’t be hard to implement that
