What kind of leather is this backpack? Is it durable?

Is very durable and holds up really well. I've been caught in the rain 3 times and it stills looks great. I have 3-4 notebooks, pencil pouch, wallet, agenda and several other things and I haven't had any problems. It's my favorite bag by far.
