After reading several sites on this product, and having it in hand, I looked at how to maximize how it works. These steps helped a lot to make a clear reliable face shield, I can now blow warm breath in the helmet without a complete frosting up, except in stupid bad weather riding conditions. It will take some time, but mins still works after three weeks or more. Works best on a new shield without previous bug goo, finger oils, or ??1 -- Remove the face plate, and clean it thoroughly, both sides. I used baby shampoo, but mostprobably work. Get it clean, let dry completely, and do not touch except by the edges till installed. My helmet is a BILT, clear face shield, I use SOFT rags to polish out.2 -- Wipe the outside with a Rain Vision cloth on DRY glass and let it dry to a haze in a warm room, before gently wiping. This will keep rain from sticking to the face shield. Cool, just little drops sliding past your eyes, helps keep the shield clear too.3 -- With clean hands, and the supplied special cloth ready, put maybe 4 drops of De Fog It on the shield, spread lightly with the velour cloth, don't wipe it all off again !! Wait 10 minutes till it dries, then do that again twice more, if you don't get a thick enough coating it will not work well. if you rub too hard it will just rub off, so let each coat dry. Across the top, and bottom inch I wipe one more coat where I look, and breathe most and do this with my clean finger, let that dry and it should be pretty clear to look through. Now, after several hours it's hard enough to re install on the helmet.4 -- Install and test ride before need, don't touch the screen more than necessary, it can be degraded by skin oils etc. There may be small streaks of fog, so carefully redo those areas if needed. By now you have an untouched inner fog screen, and an exterior water resistant coating, which do not mix but together do a great job for clear vision.5 -- Maybe I don't need to say this, but starting out to ride, I leave the visor cracked a bit till the face shield, helmet, and unfortunately my face have been exposed for a few minutes. Like a warm room (face & helmet) coming in contact with a cold temperature, (outside and face shield)the first thing to happen is condensation. If I let everything even out, the first problem fog is either way less, or never happens. After warm up, all is usually well. However, if you plan to ride in the blizzard, hop on the naked bike from a 90 deg. cabin, and huff n' puff at first, there is no help for that, that I know of.I can see clearly now, eh ? --------- CalA number of rides later, 32 deg, and up, it's still working good. Yeah, it does maybe a touch less when it's really bad, but the other day the face shield disappeared on a sunny day. What a deal, couldn't see the shield at all, weather, 40's -- all about good shield and good application for the purpose. I have been using this product for a long time and now I am ready to give an honest review. This stuff work on my eyeglasses. They have not fogged up even after a couple of days. My eyeglasses are made of glass. This product does not work on my sunglasses cause they are not made of glass and fog up, which most products will not work on non-glass. A lot of the products that I have tried did not work on my eyeglasses.

This stuff works great when I'm indoors. It has been amazing and helped me a ton! I have found that it does not work well when it is cold, like when I was outdoors in the winter. I bought it in December and it is only March now, so I'll see how it works outdoors in the summer. I suspect it will be fine. It has definitely been a huge help with all the mask wearing I have had to do.

This is the first product I've found that actually works at keeping fog off of motorcycle face shields (although I have yet to try pinlock systems which most people say also works).The three stars is because of the cost and the size. You have to reapply this every couple of days, at least, to keep fog down, on any polycarbonate shield. Because of that, the tiny bottle disappears fast, even if you are only using 3-5 drops per application. It is important to clean off your shield before application the first time from all the other stuff you've tried. Apply this to a freshly cleaned shield and you'll have fog-free riding. It's a five star product getting three stars for the price vs. quantity problem. Maybe they'll fix that soon.Also, the best trick I've found to make it work well and the longest without using more than 5 drops is this; apply the 5 drops to the cloth in a tight spot. Wipe it on the inside of the face-shield or surface in rotating circles like car wax, but do not wipe dry. Let it air dry or blow dry for about a minute, then take the same solution still on the cloth and re-apply it in a circular motion again. Do not wipe ANY off, just let it dry or blow dry it. I've tried different methods and this one seems to work the best.

Each year I swim in a 3.5 mile ocean race and I always purchase a new pair of Speedo googles for the race. I tried to use anti-fog products but they never work. Clarity DEFOGit is no different. It did do a nice job of cleaning the lens of an old pair of googles. That's worth something I guess. About 40 years ago I had a product that was like a bar of soap. I'd wet my finger, rub it on the bar and then rub it on the lens. That actually worked. Any condensation would collect as drops and drip off the lens. There are so many products that claim to really work along with some good reviews, as well as bad ones, but until I experience a successful demo I'll just keep on buying a new pair every so often and donating my older pairs.

At work with prescription, plastic safety glasses did not know how to clean them until friend told me about this product. It works great.

I've tried a variety of anti-fog solutions over the years. What I found was that most of them work... for about 10 minutes after application. After that, it's no good. Not so with Clarity Defog It. I did a side by side comparison where I only coated one half of my visor. The difference is night and day. Apply in the morning and it still works after 8 hours at work. It doesn't mean it never fogs up. But the degree to which it fogs is again different from an untreated visor. Also, once you start moving, it would clear up much faster than an untreated visor. I also use them on my eye glasses. I am sold on this product and highly recommend it to anybody. One word of caution. If you get the surface wet, the defog will come off. I find that as a plus since I can easily rinse it off of my eyeglasses, dry them, and recoat them.

Previous review said the product didn't work for them. Thought I'd try it regardless. Yes, this product does work ... but only for about 30-40mins max (trying to be generous) -- then my swim goggles started to fog up. Price is basic across the board, that being said - is there not a product out there that lasts several hours? Cant keep coming back to shore to reapply every 30mins that's just not practicle. Didn't meet my needs, sent back. Disappointed.

Hasn't worked on 3 different sets of glasses along with sports glasses for my son which we originally bought this for
