Q: I own an mm710 and love it, and i would already also own an mm720 if it weren't for the light. anyone know if we can turn it off?

Hold down the middle mouse button while clicking the the back button on the side of the mouse to cycle through different lighting set ups including one that has lighting turned off.

Q: Cooler master mm720 - does the mouse body have an indicator showing you its current dpi setting?

The scroll wheel temporarily shows a color when changing the dpi with the default lighting profile. Yellow-400 Dark Blue-800 Pink-1200 Green-1600 Lt Blue-3200 Orange-6400 Red-16000

Q: Does it come with grip tapes, or do you have to order it separately?

It does come with grip tapes, however both my mouse buttons were laterally loose and their customer service is super slow.

Q: I lift off my mouse quite often. Is this grippy enough to easily lift?

Depends on your grip type. I would say yes. It's got grooves on the right side for your pinky and index finger and it makes it easy to grip.
