KETELAMP Hurricane Candle Holder Glass, Open Ended Glass, Bottomless Cylindrical Glass, Glass Lamp Shade of 3" x 5" (Multiple Specifications)

Needed a replacement for an outside lamp post glass that had been broken. Looked and looked for the right size to fit in the lamppost frame and finally found this one. It is perfect, installed and I’m enjoying having my lamppost back.

I bought 2 - 4" x 8" hurricanes to replacement 2 that somehow went missing after I moved. These first perfectly and the glass is smooth on the edges and so well made. I believe these are better made than the originals! I love them and am very happy with them.

I love this Hurricane Glass! It has a beautiful edge to it which makes it looks very expensive. I bought two and use them to surround a couple of my candles which sit just on top of my candle holders. It really dresses them up.

I have had a beautiful candle holder set most of my life. It’s solid brass with a fluted crystal shade unlike any I have ever seen. And that’s where the story gets interesting.The set is on display on my mantle all year with LED tapers but assumes a special role around the holidays when it is dressed with a custom garland and real wax candles. Unfortunately one of the shades was crushed during a recent move. And to circle back to how unique that delicate shade was I have not been able to find anything even similar to replace it.After a lot of searching I found this one. Sure it’s only plain glass, not the hand blown fluted crystal of my original, but it’s the same size and once the garland is draped over it our holiday tradition can continue once again.I can’t say much about the quality, after all it’s only a clear piece of glass, but I can offer my opinion about the price. Mailing a thin glass lamp shade is risky and there must be a lot of them that don’t survive. A lot of effort goes in to protecting these and there is a real cost to that, by the way these are protected very simply in a custom box that had a molded insert shaped to protect the product. I’m not sure what the concern some others may have about all that but mine were delivered the next business day for free, not from China but from the Amazon warehouse a few miles away. I can’t see how that deserves a negative review.Overall I am happy with the product, it is as they say it is. You need to know that the diameter of the flutes is measured to the outside of the glass and it it as exact as it could be. If you are working with a lamp with very tight tolerances please keep this in mind. I recommend this product with the wish that it was about 25% cheaper.

I had to replace a broken hurricane candle, and I order the wrong size the 1st time, and it was very easy to return. I ordered the correct size and the new one fit perfectly! I really apréciate the fact that I can custom order the size.

I broke one expensive P*ttery Barn Hurricane Candle in a set of 2, and was so upset...thinking I could no longer use it, I decided to replace the hurricane glass part with this, and voila! my hurricane candle is like new again, and the glass even matches the other one in the set, so you can't even tell! If you need, or would like to turn any candle into a hurricane candle, I highly recommend this one - it comes in a variety of sizes, and while a bit pricey, the glass is thicker, and of such good quality!

I think this was very expensive for just a plain cylinder. I did like the option of being able to get different sizes.

It fitted a lamp base that had been sitting around for decades after the previous chimney had broken.
