Biology of the Invertebrates 7th Edition

I am fascinated and disgusted after taking this course and reading this book. I can never touch mud or a pond again knowing what is inhabiting and squirming and living in it. Brain eating Amoebas! No thanks. Walking in the woods? Forget it with the ticks and fleas. And the bugs and worms and things just living in everything around us! I am so knowledgeable now about invertebrates and parasites and I can thank this book and my professor for that but it’s ruined me for life.

It's a great book to use, well organized, and I particularly like the updated phylogenetic information. However, it does need another round of proofreading. There are typos and a few seemingly mislabelled headings, etc., which make it a bit confusing in places.

Lots of great illustrations throughout, really helps with visual memory of the material. Layout and organization of taxa presented make it easy to find information on a certain group or mechanism, and terminology that the reader may be less familiar with is conveniently bolded (and often broken down into Latin roots/affixes for further comprehension). Some of the books that I get for classes I use during the term and then part with shortly after- this definitely isn't one of them.Book was in good condition, don't remember how long it took to arrive (came on time).

I highly recommend this book if you need knowledge of invertebrates. There are no color pictures in the book, but the text is clear and readable and the diagrams are clear and helpful.I bought it used and the cover wasn't perfect but inside it was in good shape. It came quickly (1-day shipping). I will purchase again from this seller.
