In the past, I tried a well known product that was made from shrimp, crab, crayfish shells, all things I can eat without issue. My allergies are with mollusks including clams, mussels, and scallops. Well, I reacted with migraines so even though it was not listed as containing mollusks, they were present. After a bit of searching, I came across this product from Solgar. It is a tad pricey but it is absolutely worth the cost. The bottles are glass which is novel but the product itself does not give me any negative reaction. They are large pills but not powdery or ill-tasting on the way down, a bonus if swallowed improperly. They do not irritate my stomach. I take two daily in one dose, typically near a mealtime. So far, it seems to be reducing arthritic joint pain a bit. At least I haven't noticed things getting worse. The goal for these pills is to act more as a preventative than a cure; they don't have to make me better but I hope to prevent further degeneration. My first bottle was a month's supply and I just ordered a two-month supply to continue the regimen.

My son-in-law introduced me to this product as he swears by it. He is in his o30's and played football in college. He said it helps him continue to work out through old knee and shoulder injuries incurred during those yrs. I gave it a try to the tune of 2 months. I am an elliptical girl at 62 and use free weights etc.. I have to be honest here and tell you... my body is 100% aware when I run out or haven't kept in time with this product. Easy on your stomach and is totally part of my everyday life. It is expensive but what you're getting for the money is so worth it!

I am allergic to fish and shellfish and and thrilled that this product exists. I am a runner and this has allowed me to continue in my routine and take care of my knees! It's very expensive, so I don't take the full recommended amount of three tablets every day. I only take them on running days, but that has done the trick! I am convinced that these have successfully helped my stave off knee pain! I would probably increase my supplementation with this product if it was around the same price as the fishy products.

I have an older dog. This product has made a noticeable difference in his comfort and movement. It was important to find a non-shellfish source of glucosamine. I use a pill grinder and combine with pure MSM as well as K9 vegetarian glucosamine [the vitamin C included in the liquid helps in absorbtion]. Altogether, these supplements have improved my dog's quality of life. In a month or so, you will see an incredible difference. Use twice daily with wet food.

After taking a great product called Regenicare for my wife's herniated disc pain for over a year we noticed joint pain developing to the point of wondering if she got some kind of arthritis. We didn't know what to do. After going to the ER in a unrelated mater she was told not to take anything other than her prescriptions for 2 weeks and then the joint pain was gone. After doing some research and finding out there are two different shellfish alergies and doing our own tests we learned that the shellfish was causing the joint pain (even though there is no proof I could find other than our own testing that shellfish can cause a reaction like that to joints). After trying the Solgar Shellfish free Glucosamine Chondroiten MSM her pain is back to about 10 to 20 on a pain scale of 100. With no Glucosamine Chondroiten MSM (we are not sure if all are needed for her) her pain is so great some days she can't even get out of bed, that is when she says her pain is 110 or 120 out of 100. FYI: Keep in mind for her it started to work by day 35 taking 2 tablets twice a day so that she was getting about 3000 milligrams of Glucosamine per day which was not only recomended by a doctor for her (off the record of course) also it is the amount that works for her. If you have joint pain this stuff works, just make sure you try it for a good 60 days before you think it doesn't work. -Rich

no allergic reactions but i also dont know if it helped me. i have thyroid so i know my bones are supposed to be weaker than most people so i drink these type of vitamins to help strengthen my bones. so far so good but really cant prove anything. the only thing i do like is that i am not having any allergic reaction to this and dont feel queasy when drinking it. the tables are quite big but a big gulf of water helps

3 stars, not because its not effective, but because there isn't a neutral no star rating just to leave feedback but my caution is these pills are LARGE and difficult to swallow..am a 55 year old healthy male that takes my share of supplements and vitamins and this is by far the largest pill I have in my inventory...as shellfish free GC is hard to come by, I had read another review that these were large but I've never had a problem taking any size pill so I purchased figuring they'd be fine...I was wrong...if I've taken 10 of them so far, I've choked on 5 and had to cough it up and try again and struggled with the rest...May be a great product but I recommend reducing pill size or I will need to look for another brand...regards.....

I have a nonfunctioning Gallbladder which has plagued me with chronic loose stool. I have successfully used over the counter and prescription medication to treat this issue, but I have found that these pills not only alleviate my knee pain when I walk, but also help my digestive issues. My gastrologist told me that they have heard similar experiences from other patients and recommended that I continue to use this product since it works for me. The label recommends 2 tablets per day but I have found that 1 table each morning with breakfast is all that is needed. Taking the full dose and not staying properly hydrated sometimes causes constipation.

Le flacon est gros. Il ne vient pas de france, l'étiquette est en Anglais. Néanmoins il était bien célé. La posologie recommandée est de 2 comprimés par jour. Ils ont la taille des comprimés de paracétamol dosés à 1000mg. D'aucuns diront qu'ils sont un peu gros. Je prend ces comprimés dans le cadre du traitement d'un syndrome femoro-patélaire au genou gauche et pour préserver le cartilage de mes articulations. Je pratique la course à pied. Après presque 2 mois de prise les résultats ne sont pas fulgurants. A voir avec le temps.
