I did not check the code date (is there one on the foil packets, or just on the box?), but I don't think I will purchase them this way again, because I don't think they lasted as long as the ones I purchase in the original packaging.

Can I purchase the black ink 100 xl only?

How does the 100XL Return program cartriges differ from the $34.99 bundle?

Hello. The only difference between the Return Program inks and the Non-Return Program inks is if you are manually refilling your own ink cartridges with bulk ink (or a universal refill kit) after each color cartridges becomes empty. The Return Program inks are NOT designed to be refilled. The "A" inks, also known as the Non-Return Program inks, CAN be refilled by the end user and will still function properly.
