I wanted to use this heatcap a good few times before reviewing and I have now done that having used this heat cap for about 5 weeks initially once a week during my wash routine (for my deep conditioner) but I've also found an additional use (more later). I was initially surprised by the quality of the outer material of the cap, I don't know how to describe it but it looks and feels much better than the promo pictures. Mine came with 2 shower caps which are as good a quality as any I've bought as a standalone shower cap. Usage is very simple, there is a High, Low and Off setting. As many have said, the High setting is rather warm/hot so most will find the Low setting more than sufficient to heat up your mask/conditioner/hot oil. There is also an auto shut off at about 20mins running time, I recall, and as my current masque is for 30mins I just turn back on after a minute just to give a little break to the cap. After I have washed my hair I also use the cap to give my leave in conditioner a little heat reinforcement and to help my hair dry off (I air dry). The cap came neatly folded in a box that's about 3 cm wide, in order to not displace the heat filaments in the cap I store it upside down on the flat base, place the cord inside and leave it like that instead of trying to fold it how it originally came. At the time of the review I've had the heat cap for about 10 weeks and it was a month before I used it. I've used it about 10 times. I really hope it lasts.

Had for a couple of years and still works well. Good value. Normally at setting 7 and use with a warm wrap so not too dry heat.

I bought this to replace my 110v. There is a plastic lining so my wet hair doesn’t touch the inside of the cap. Comfortable Material is good. I think it’s well made with the adjustable string. It came with an extra shower cap. Also there are 3 settings. 20,30,45 I usually steam for 20mins. There are 10 heat levels, 10 being the hottest yet it isn’t as hot as the 110v. So I suggest keeping it on longer when steaming. No one steams at 1 which may be useless. Otherwise it’s a good buy. Pretty pattern and size is perfect.

So far so good. Worked quite well and did the job. I liked that there is an adjustable cord for a snug fit. The inner cap is zipped on and can be removed for gentle hand washing. It also comes with a ' shower' type cap for steaming hair. Although instructions are included, the control is simple to understand with the timer and heat settings. It is well made but I can't say how long it will last from the material it is made from. But it serves its purpose

I’ve been using this hair steamer for a little while now, and overall I’m really pleased with it. It’s easy to set up and operate, and it delivers consistent steam that leaves my hair feeling softer and more hydrated. The design is straightforward and user-friendly, which I really appreciate. My only wish is that it could get slightly hotter for an even deeper treatment, but it still performs well and gets the job done. For the price and convenience, I’m happy with my purchase and would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade their hair-care routine.

I always chuckle when I see myself in the mirror with this on but it’s an amazing steam hair cap especially for people with low porosity hair who need heat to open up their hair cuticles. The way I use this hair cap is I use it for five or ten minutes to open up my hair cuticles as they only open up with heat, then I oil my hair with a lightweight oil then wear the hair cap for another ten to twenty minutes to ensure my low porosity hair is soaking up all the oil. I then wash my hair that same day and come out with shiny hair that doesn’t feel weighed down or greasy. An absolute must have for low porosity hair that doesn’t absorb products very well.

It either gets too hot or not hot at all. It’s okay if you’re on a budget but if you can I’d say purchase a better quality one.

Best thing I have purchased in a while. Since I had this cap been doing leave in treatments and steams on my 4c hair and I have notice a big change. Love the levels of time and heat. I stay at 5 that’s hot enough for me. My kids also use it. Great gadget. Good quality, comfortable, easy to clean.
