This is high-quality 60-wt polyester embroidery thread intended for use in the bobbin only on your embroidery machine. You cannot use it for the top threading of your machine, which usually requires 40-wt embroidery thread. It is really difficult to find colored bobbin thread for a reasonable price, so this is a must-have addition to your thread stash. The pre-wound bobbins at the chain fabric stores are threaded with very low-quality thread that is more like serger thread. If you hold it up to the light, you can see it is lumpy, and the bobbins are often unevenly wound. The bobbins themselves are often not good quality and can snap apart. Thus, it is preferable to wind your own bobbins, and this assortment of colors was just what I was looking for.

Thread stitches out beautifully with a #9 needle......but there isn't one blue thread in the whole box!! For the price I expect a good balance of colors. Otherwise it would have been 5 stars. Apearantly the seller isn't seeing the reviews or doesn't care to address the fact that more than one review has said there is NO BLUE in the box!

I received my order yesterday, and the colors are not as shown. The assortment that I received had 8 green/4 pink/4 orange/3 brown/2 lavender/2 yellow and one black - zero blue (which was my reason for purchase). Haven't decided whether to return the package yet as I imagine it sews fine and you can never have too much embroidery thread, right?!

Would have liked some more blues, it had a lot of greens

This thread does not last in my Brother 1000e. The thread is constantly shearing.

Works well for embroidering small letters. The spools are not as large as I thought.
