Seachem Indoor Purigen Organic Filtration Resin - Fresh and Saltwater 100 ml

So this is absolutely incredible. I placed it into the space of my filter. Basically, I didn’t touch the filter, but within the space of the filter I placed this. It fit. It is a fairly small packet. What happened after, is just amazing. My water was crystal clear. It never got cloudy or yellowish or anything of the sort. It literally solved all my issues with the water; and my fish are alive and well. I have glo fish mostly. The packet is lasting me now for almost a year, and I simply wash it once per month or so. Again, the speed with which my water got cleared and clean, and stayed that way, is within a day or so. This is absolutely recommended for anyone with an aquarium. No smell too by the way. My 300-gallon tank turned into a giant pot of manzanita coffee thanks to some gorgeous but tannin-heavy driftwood. The water was so dark I could barely see the fish unless they were right up against the glass. I knew the tannins weren’t harmful, but I wanted my water clear again without spending a fortune on expensive RO water changes. So I started looking for solutions and came across Seachem Purigen. Given how bad the water quality had gotten, I added triple the recommended amount to my sump filter. Within just a few hours, I noticed a small but noticeable difference—way more effective than swapping out my sump socks multiple times. Every day after that, the water kept improving and getting clearer. Now, a week later, the tank is just about clear. I’ll be refreshing my Purigen later this week and hope the fresh batch makes things pristine. What was once murky brown is now mostly clean with fully restored visibility. I can see my fish from across the room again instead of squinting at the glass. Purigen lived up to the hype for me—it seriously saved my tank without the hassle or expense of constant water changes. I’ll definitely be using this all the time moving forward. The fact that it’s reusable and refreshes makes the expense totally worth it. Huge thanks to Seachem—Purigen is a game changer!

The water in my 29 gallon biocube is clearer than what cap out of the tap and it took less than an hour to clear. The product is amazing and will buy more for my other tanks.

Works great, just like they say. A note for others, so they don’t make the same mistake as me, do not use this product with api stress coat or you can not reuse it.

This stuff works great! Plus it's rechargeable. I've never been disappointed with Seachem.

This product really works and it’s a must to get that extra level clear water in your aquarium. The package is just a small white pouch that appears to be some sort of beads inside it. Make sure you wash it real good before adding it to your filtration system and make sure it’s after your main filters. It should be the last thing your water passes through. You might want to also order water test kits to make sure your tank is cycling correctly before adding this filter. All in all it’s a great product. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it’s expensive for 1 small pouch that you have to replace monthly. Some say you can regen it but it comes with a risk. Exceptional product. It is essential when maintaining pristine water parameters in an aquarium with a high bio-load. Keep a close eye on its color change which indicates its time to recharge or change it. There is no carbon content in this product. Helps to control odors because of its absorption properties. So far, it is lasting approximately 4-6 months in my high bio-load tank. That helps in determining its ease of use, cycle speed, and color change that happens with time. One consideration, this product really absorbs, if you are using Mopani wood which releases tannins in the water to help bring down pH levels, it does absorb them too. My water is now crystal clear.

Crystal clear water is an understatement! If it wasn't for the movement of the fish in my aquarium, it would be impossible to tell that it contains water. Purigen is amazing and it doesn't interfere with the growth of the plants in my heavily planted aquarium.
