As a beginner I'm still working my way around a guitar and the various accessories you can buy. Now due to my level I always just thought a plectrum was just a plectrum, until I started reading about them. Big or small, flexible or stiff, I didn't have a clue. You can read all the review sites in the world but you'll never know what one is for you. That is where this little pack comes in to its own.What you get for your money is a wide variety of plectrums (picks if you do wish). There are shapes, sizes and gauges for everyone. Reading online reviews will have everyone using Tortex or Jazz 3's and that is the initial road I took. As it turns out my favourite is actually a Dunlop Gator Grip .96mm. It suits me for both strumming and fingerpicking. If it wasn't for this pack then I'd have taken a while to find that out.So, in a word, if you're a beginner who doesn't know their Jazz 3's from their jazz flutes then this is the pack for you.

Bought this on a whim to try out some different picks. It's a great assortment of different Dunlop picks, with a good range of weights - great to try out before buying a pack of a single type.

I've had lots of plain plastic guitar picks of various thicknesses, but I always find them a bit slippery to hold (perhaps because I mostly fingerpick so I don't use a plectrum regularly). I was wondering about getting some fancier picks to see if they would improve the grip, but didn't want a pack of one style only to find I didn't like them. With this pack I could test a variety of thicknesses, shapes, materials and grip types to find the ones I liked. For me it was very much the ones with a textured grip area and, to my surprise, of these I preferred the thicker ones (previously I'd thought I preferred medium thickness).So this pack was great for allowing me to figure out my preference, and now I can buy more of the types that I liked.These would also make a great small gift any guitarist.

A gerat selection of guitar picks. Good to be able to try them all and find which ones work best for you. Usual Dunlop quality! Recommended
