I use this on shoots now, it works great I can’t complain at all.
I used this product for shooting golf videos, with rounds taking over 5 hours at times the lighting can change a lot, this allows me to not have to change any camera settings when I am in the go. It works perfectly!

You CAN fit a lens hood
These are medium quality ND filters that are an essential for the videographer. They adequately lower the light allowing you to keep to a slow shutter speed that matches your frame rate - 50 for 25fps, 120 for 60, and so on.They are not the best quality by a long way, and they are cheaply made, but for the budding amateur they are a great starting point.Several reviews and question answerers have said that you cannot fit a lens hood or another filter on the front of these. That is untrue. There is a thread at the front, but it is one size bigger than the filter fitting. So, the 52mm filter needs a lens hood that has a 55mm thread. Use the list of sizes as a guide.I have bought new lens caps and hoods for both my filters and they fit fine. However, the thread is only about a turn and a half, so it is not very secure. The company says that the difference in size is intentional to allow more light through (wider at the front.)The ND filter should always be closest to the lens, so with this make, anything you add next in the stack would need to be the next size up. That could be a deal breaker for some!

No Filter Thread
Filter is well made & has a nice action to it, the adjustment ring is just tight enough to stay in position. It also carries markings on the rim to show the position of the ND setting. The BIGGEST drawback is that there is no filter thread to the front so I cannot attach my Lens Hood for my 28mm Wideangle lens so it will probably suffer from lens flare at certain angles. I'd have gladly had the filter a little thicker to accomodate a filter thread.

It's decent enough for the price, no issues with colour or fringing, so yeah, I'm happy

Works OK for the most part
This filter works well up until the 'MAX' setting, at which point the dreaded "purple cross" effect appears. If you take it back a few notches it works fine. I'm quite happy to put up with this as I knew this was likely to happen and I can deal with it, if only for the sheer convenience that it offers.
