RimSavers (Green) Wheel Rim Protectors Guard Alloy Wheel from Curb Rash – Set of 4 Rim Protectors Easy to Install

Fairly easy to install and good looking. Absorb the curb rash and save the rim. Have replaced portions from left over material. The only drawback I wasn’t happy with is when I had new tires installed. For some reason 2 of the 4 rim savers didn’t survive. I’m thinking technicians unfamiliarity with the product. Color stays true and adherence is very good as is the fit. I put these on my 98 Camaro with sport tuning wheels. Can’t use them on my 2021 Accord because the wheels are not smooth and adhesion wouldn’t be good.

I actually purchased and installed these a month ago, but waited to review until I'd washed my car a few times. Now that I have, here goes: I found it a pretty straight forward install. Just FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS. Do one wheel at a time and don't rush yourself. Because I took my time, it turned out great. I've washed the car 4 times and the Rim Savers didn't budge. The color continues to be vibrant and eye catching. Where I live, we really don't have snow, so I have no idea how they perform in that environment. However, in heavy rain, no problems. I hope this review is helpful. I jinxed myself. The very next time I washed my car, after my initial review, I lost both front and rear driver's side Rim Savers. A grown man nearly cried. I contacted the company and they said that the automatic car wash rail is what caused the damage and that the product did its job by protecting the wheel from the rail. They further said that the damage was not covered by their warranty. BUT they would send me replacements right away. They did and I'm happy again, and more cautious when washing my car.

If I could give this zero stars I would I believe there was a previous version of this product named "Rimblades" - that version, that I bought 2 years ago, is still solidly attached to the wheels of my second car. Wonderful product! Then the company decided to "redesign" (which means they started using inferior products, most likely) and this "new version" (RimSavers) are absolute trash. There are so many design problems with them, I can't even express how frustrated I am with this purchase: 1- The "clip" that connects the two sections of rimsavers was redesigned and no longer stays glued on, not even for one drive. I'm a handy guy and I know how to follow instructions to the letter - believe me, that clip is entirely useless (and the clip from the previous RimBlades is still on my second car, years later - so it's definitely a redesign issue) 2- Once the clip falls off, you now have sections of RimSaverrs that will slowly start peeling off since they are not "joined" 3- And to make matters worse, they redesigned the adhesive and that new adhesive stands NO CHANCE in the heat. The moment ambient air started reaching 85-90 daily in Virginia, I could see the adhesive start to soften - until catastrophe hit of course: the RimSavers slowly came loose at 65mph on the highway - and guess what happens if you have a piece of plastic rotating and slowling peeling off a wheel at 65mph! You guessed it - it makes contact with your whell well and body panels and creates major damage So now I have wheel well damage, body/paint damage, all from a product that was supposed to protect my wheels. Good news - my wheels are in good shape (not from the RimSavers) - since I never actually curb-rashed them. The cheap plastic used on these also makes the claim that they'd protect against a concrete curb very dubious. Anyways, one of the worst products on Amazon, stay away.

My Tesla looks great in these. So glad I bought and installed them - and never more so than when my car hit a pothole at speed. Both passenger side (brand new Pirelli’s - sigh) tires were destroyed but my rims? Survived with only a small scratch through the powder coat. I surmise that, without the rim protectors, there would have been more substantial damage than what occurred. New tires - and a new set of rim protectors. Well worth the money and the application time if they did anything to save the powder coat. Downside and therefore only 4 stars. I’ve been through a couple of sets. The adhesion is a little lacking. The double-sided 3M tape on the protector sticks like crazy to a well-prepped rim but does not maintain the same adherence to the actual protector. The plastic can fly off and leave the tape on the rim. Prepping for another set requires a ton of 99.9% alcohol and elbow grease.

I really love riding off the beaten path..I was very skeptical of these but really wanted to add a little more color, this green was a perfect match.. install was easy, I stayed off of the dirt roads for awhile..1. They look badass clean and 2. Gave them plenty of time to cure..since then it's been take no prisoners. Absolutely no mercy. Deep mud, gravel, lots of dirt and dust and these things are still there! Would definitely recommend! UPDATE! 4/29/23 Right rear snagged on something and started separating..I should have cleaned them and reapplied some 3m tape and superglue.. but I didn't. It finally came off going through some really deep, thick mud last night. I will be buying more, still love the product.. I love the extra green to break up the black. This time I will actually clean the wheel 100% before I install. If you drive your vehicle predominantly on road you will not have any issues!

I was happy initially with the purchase. Installation was EASY. And they Looked GREAT ! But here we are almost 1 year later. The glue has held up, nothing has came loose. BUT they have faded to almost a Pink Color. First pic is when newly installed. Second pic is 10 months later after a rim was damaged in a car wash. For $80 bucks I expected them to be at LEAST UV proof plastic.

The first package did not work but RimBlades were quick to replace - many thanks. I found it easier to take the wheel off the car and place on a flat surface so I could fix the 'RimBlade' to the rim without too much hassle. There is n need to do this if you can spin the wheel and no need to take the tyre off. At present, they look good and it is recommended that you should not drive at over 40mph within the first 24hrs of fitting. This time I'm allowing the car to stand over night in the hope that the glue (adhesive) sets well. I've given a 5* review this time as they were replaced quickly with no cost to me, well done RimBlades. If they don't stay on I shall update this review.

This product does not fit to tesla model Y and seems the adhesive is not that storng and would fall off.
